Early CB Analysis

I would probably not go CB in the first round. I would be focusing on shoring up the front 7 on this defense. We can make do with the corners we have and maybe a later round draft pick, or a a player in the second round of free agency after the draft.

We need linebackers and edge players who can get to the qb with at least some level of regularity and can shut down the run. If we can stop this defense from being gashed with the run and get some pressure on the QB it’s going to make this team’s DBs look much better (along with better coaching).

I would be going BPA throughout this draft. I would not be reaching for need. This team needs players who can play. It does not need players who appear to fill a hole but in reality are Taco, Hill , Bossman Fat and company. That’s 3 premium picks wasted. 4 if you count Mazie.
