As always, just perusing draft sites and saw this one - about the best I've seen for this early, but I'd be downright giddy if the first 4 rounds went like this !

17) O.G Chance Warmack 6' 3" 320 lbs Bama.
49) F.S. Eric Reid 6'2" 212 lbs LSU.
81) DE/LB Brandon Jenkins 6'3" 260 lbs Florida St. (Injury)
113) C Braxton Cave 6'3" 305 lbs Notre Dame.

At this stage don't think we could do much better - thoughts/comments ?

I would be dang excited if that's how our draft panned out.

I don't thing Reid will drop into the second round.

I may be wrong though!

Actually, a couple of the scouting services I have read are saying Reid's instincts seem questionable this year and that he is VERY susceptible to play-action fakes. He could easily slide to Round 2.

Reid made some stupid plays versus the Aggies. Doesnt strike me as overly cerebral, not a good safety trait.

It would be hard to complain about this draft; however, it might not be my absolute 1st choice.

17) O.G Chance Warmack 6' 3" 320 lbs Bama.
Callahan wants to implement a Zone Blocking Scheme. If they spend a top 20 pick on an OG, he needs to be the perfect fit in the scheme. I'm not sure that Warmack is the best choice for the ZBS.

I would be temped to trade down and get and extra 2nd in this scenario. I think that Jonathan Cooper would be terrific in the ZBS. He is projected anywhere from late 1st to mid 2nd. Also, he can play center. At 6-3, 310, Cooper is not a Mauler like Warmack, but he is strong and very very quick.

49) F.S. Eric Reid 6'2" 212 lbs LSU.
The 2nd round in the 2013 draft appears to be a great spot to get a Safety.

81) DE/LB Brandon Jenkins 6'3" 260 lbs Florida St. (Injury)
Jenkins would be a great fit on the Strong Side in the Dallas defensive scheme; however, even with the injury, I don't see him falling to #81.

113) C Braxton Cave 6'3" 305 lbs Notre Dame.
Good pick here; however, I would really like to see them get Khaled Holmes and/or Jonathan Cooper in an earlier round.

It has been reported that Holmes got destroyed by Lotulelei this year; however, that's not really true. Holmes was only responsible for a couple of negative plays against Lotulelei. Holmes blocked Lotulelei 1-on-1 on many snaps with no problems.

I hate the second pick and not thrilled about the fourth.

Personally, I'll be disappointed not to see a dlineman in the first three rounds.

would be nice to get three first rounders with our first three picks:rolleyes:

I like what you did but don't think Reid will be available to us in the 2nd. Here's how I see it.

1. Chance Warmack
2. David Amerson (drafted to play FS)
3. Khaled Holmes
4. Devin Taylor/Margus Hunt (can't decide)

I think it should reflect a DE or OLB in the first three picks. RG3 and ELi are going to thrive if we do not pressure them and then we have to win a shoot out. How much do you trust the coach in a shoot out with time management a important component. Just looking ahead.
