Early Game thread

These roughing the passer penalties are ridiculous, Aikman might still be playing if he had that luxury

Which game are you watching?

1st quarter almost done, and the jags have 13 yards of total offense. Lol.

I admit I did not think Cam was going to be a good NFL QB. Wow is he proving me wrong so far. He is lighting the Packers. He has 150yds passing in the 1st qtr and made some nice runs.

Cam almost threw another TD...WR brought down at the 4 yard line. I am so impressed with Cam...10-12 151 yards 1TD in first quarter...3 rushes 18 yds..total Cam yds 169 - Total Carolina yds 171...against the SB champs...unreal

Since a lot thought that Newton wouldn't do that well against the Pack D he is doing very well, Smith dropped a Pass. Man he might get close to his total that he had the last game if the Pack don't adjust.

The Saints got screwed a number of times in a short period.

First, one of the cheesiest roughing the passer calls I have seen.

After that, the Saints were moving the ball and one of the WRs was escorted out of bounds by a couple of Bears who threw him to the ground.

They showed a lot of confidence in Cam letting him throw in on 3rd and long with them already being in FG range. John Fox would've handed it off.

I switched to Red Zone. All these games are kinda blah. Normally I'd watch the Skins game but it's a snoozer.

1st QTR stats for Cam: 10/13, 151 yards, 1 TD

Cam Newton has far and away exceeded my expectations for him.

In only week 2, he looks like a player.

I thought he would play well at times but he's really taken a few extra steps.

Props to him.

I'm watching that game too. I must have missed that play when I switched to watch the Zona/Commanders game.

I could be wrong, but the linebacker made what looked like a good tackle on Cam, was bang-bang in that the hit came just as the ball was released which was standard operating procedure back in the day, thus why Aikman had so many concussions

Lol, true.

You almost can't blame Fox though. Delhomme was an apple turnover machine rivaling only Rex Grossman.

I'm in DFW and we're stuck with Jets/Jaguars also as the only game. This is why I almost got Sunday Ticket even though I get the Cowboys every weekend, I'd still like to chose the "other" game.

Brees to Devery Henderson (who i picked up when Colston went down) for 79 yards. Fantasy points times two!
