Early game thread!

So, basically, no answer to the question. Score has nothing to do with his low catch total and lack of yardage.

Learn football. It's now, 42-0, and you think Julio is being shut down. Idiotic.

Lol who have the Giants beaten? The Commanders and a Buffalo team that is missing Sammy Watkins and LeSean McCoy along with Tyrod freaking Taylor at quarterback. Just because the Giants made runs in the past that fourth year doesn't mean that'll happen this year. Those teams had great defenses and this Giant defense has yet to be tested outside of opening night when Dallas torched them.

Were those teams considered "great defenses" entering the season? I don't think so.

In 2007, the giants gave up 80 points within the first 2 games (45 to the Cowboys, 35 to the packers in week 2). They didn't become "dominate" until the latter part of the season.

And who has Dallas beaten? LOL. That same Giants team and an Eagles team struggling against the Foreskins.

This thread has become a cluster **** with everyone in their feelings. I will gracefully bow down until the game tonight.

By the way, because I know some people are quick to question one's Cowboy fandom when saying anything remotely negative, I fly to 2 games per year from New York and pay for Jerry's outrageous ticket prices every year. I'll be at the Eagles and Skins games this year

You're picking and choosing what to quote and use interchangeably. I never said the Giants were front runners for the division in 2007 or 2011. I said that this year they will probably have a SIMILAR year to the 2007 and 2011 years in which they were expected to do nothing, and possibly go all the way due to the fact that Coughlin was on the hot seat, Eli was getting chastised to all hell, and because every 4 years they tend to go on this magical run. Hence the reason why I said "I hope I am wrong" after stating everything because if my thoughts weren't so, there'd be no reason to say "I hope I'm wrong."

I'm not going to continue this silly argument because it's plainly obvious that back on August 25th that the Giants had me worried, but I wanted to keep the faith; which is exactly what I still stated in this thread; that they look like they are going to follow true with my prediction/feeling back in the summer. I'm not going to let you bait me into a senseless argument in which a thread gets derailed like they generally do when you're involved. Matter of fact, I'll use one of your favorite techniques and do you a favor by placing you on 'ignore.'

Have a nice day sir!
.

I quoted what you denied saying. You claimed you never used the words "division winner" or "frontrunner" and you did use "frontrunner" which is why I quoted you. You never said the Giants were "frontrunners" in 07 and 2011 but you're claiming you see similarities between those teams and the 2015 team. The Giants may have had you worried but not once did you pick them to have a better record than the Cowboys and claim they were the "frontrunners" for the division which is what you claimed in this thread. Again this was your quote "I knew the Giants would probably be the front runners for the division this year."

Anyone with a brain could've guessed the Giants defense would come together. You're talking about the likes of Justin Tuck, Osi, Strahan was still terrific in his final year, and in the later run they had JPP who looked like the second coming. Great defensive line = great defense. When you have that kind of talent up front it's only a matter of time before it comes together.

Lol @ bringing up Dallas. We're missing our star quarterback, star receiver, and entire DL basically.

Tons of missed kicks today. Hope Bailey isn't watching this.

What's his catch total? What's his yardage? Doesn't matter how the team is playing around him, the specific question was aimed at Julio Jones.

And I never said he was "shut down". 4 catches for 38 yards, low total for Jones.
