It's obvious that Vernon Davis stopped using the steroids he was on in college. Like 30 pounds thinner.

Seems kind of stupid to allow a hair pull. It's the same dangerous whip back motion with the leverage you obtain. If the horse collar rule is about protecting players what the heck is the difference between the collar or hair?

The difference is that having that much hair is a personal choice so any negative impact it has is the player's fault. Horse-collar is unavoidable.
