No excuse but the 49ers are the 1st team in NFL history to lose 5 straight by 3 points are less.
In other words, they are inches away fro being 5-1....but aren't.

KC looks pretty damn good this year so far. But I am still a bit skeptical of Alex Smith long-term. Doesn't mean I don't think KC has a shot at the super bowl, but the dude has never played this good before.

The sad part is, we do this every year. The teams that are elite in week 6 tend to disappear come playoff time
