Escobar will probably have another Bennett type career once he leaves us,that was such a wasted pick that it still boggles my mind.

Martellus is a beast. If only Jason and Jerry had done a little more than just talk about a 2 tightend offense.

Escobar won't get away. Witten doesn't have many years left. That said, I don't think he has the ability that Martellus has. He's a freakish athlete that has matured.

Big picture take, there is not a team in the league that is legitimately scary, I would not want to have to win a game in Seattle in the winter, but I would not call them or anybody else scary.

I was NEVER one of the fans on this board that bagged on Marty B as a PLAYER. This organization had no idea what to do with him...which begs the question....WHY did we spend a 2nd round pick on a TE when we had one? And then WHY did we do it AGAIN! There are PLENTY of backup TEs that can be found in the middle rounds. Just absurd that we get no explanation for the use of these premium resources. Even if I disagreed with the explanation....I would just like to know what the organization was thinking.

That is something I do not understand. Why can Bennett suddenly get open and catch when he could do neither in a Cowboy uniform?

IMO is was due to lack of interest. Bennett wanted to be the man and was not happy being forced to being a blocking TE. I can't blame him. Of course some of it was due to him bringing it upon himself but I do not put all the blame on him.

And it only took him 7 seasons and 3 teams to mature.

Yep, like I said earlier, if Jason had done more than talk about a two tight set being the primary offense, who knows what we could've had.

Bennett did deal with injuries his last season in Dallas that limited what he could do that year. And even if they got a little more out of him, he wasn't going to stick around no matter what. He wants to be the #1 guy and was never going to re-sign with Dallas.

Think it is too late to place a huge bet on Dennis Allen being the first coach fired?

Maybe Roy Williams is out there and could give us his point of view.
