The Texans also passed on Derek Carr because of the David Carr debacle. They were in need of a QB, and just did not have the guts on getting his brother after getting burned. In hindsight, passing on him turned into a big mistake as well. Now they have an overpaid backup starting for them.

You have to admit Derek Carr would've been a tough sell in Houston after what happened with his brother. It's hard to compare Houston's situation with Cleveland's because no team has had more QB issues than the Browns the past two decades. They had what was the highest rated QB by most sitting there for the taking and they moved out of the spot and ended up bringing in a QB that flamed out in Washington.
