Well, I wanted to spend money on LeCharles Bentley or Steve Hutchinson only because it was a freak accident that those two were available in free agency. Bentley did not want to stay in New Orleans, Hutchinson was skipped in the rush to sign all the Seahawks other big name free agents. Guys like those normally don't enter free agency. Everyone else, I agree with you. Assuming the Boys had a shot to sign any of these guys, it would have at least solved a weakness for a few years at one guard spot. It's not cohesion from the coach that worries me, it's Bill's frightening ability to keep striking out at the position that worries me the most.

Bentley wanted to be a Brown, and to pay him LT money?...um, how about hell no

and besides, he's done for the year

Still very early but so far:

1. TO- Nothing yet.
He's been hurt. Injuries happen. Relax- TO could play 12 games and match Key's numbers from last year.
2. Vandy- ditto. add to that the fact he can't kick off and you really have to question the decision not to go after josh brown who could have been had for a 7th rounder.
Vandy has also been nursing an injury but he will step up like he always has. And Josh Brown was a restricted FA. No chance Seattle would not have matched any reasonable offer.
3. Adoyele- Have not heard anything glowing yet and he has not stood out thus far in preseason. Add in that Carp is now in the middle and his signing is a little curious.
Carp being in the middle has nothing to do with Ayodele and everything to do with Ellis being at SOLB. Parcells seems happy with Ayodele. Why aren't you?
4. Kosier- Average at best. When you hear that Proctor is pushing him for a job, you can't feel good about it.
I have not heard that Procter is pushing him- not yet at least. If Kosier is average that's about what LA was last year. And Procter is another good news surprise. Why the glass half empty analysis?
5. Coleman- On the sauce and out the door.
He was cheap insurance and was on the bubble in any case because of the emergence of another FA pickup Abram Elam. So we may have made out there with a younger guy with upside.

I remain optimistic that this will pan out but so far........:bang2:

Funny you don't SOUND optimistic.:(
