Additionally, KC has one of the worst run defenses in the leauge. I think we match up really well against their defense. Just need our defense to get some stops.

KC also has the 3rd worst turnover differential. I'll be looking for Digss to get his 9th int.

I looked up their Rush defense numbers and they didn’t look that bad to me.

They're allowing 4.6 YPC. 6th worst.

It has been getting better, though, if you split games.

D’oh! I just realized that I was looking at the wrong column in the pro-football-reference spreadsheet! I was looking at their offensive Rush numbers thinking it was defense.

I hang my head in shame…

I believe there is a good chance our offense can move the ball against KC. We could put up 30. I also believe there is more than a good chance that their offense can put up 40 against our defense. My feast or famine could get caught looking for 3 TD's. He may get a pick but his MO is to also give up plays. Travis Kelsey matched up against anyone on our defense is a match up nightmare. and because i have no faith that our front can get to Mahomes this game spells concern

This may sound simple, too simple in fact, but if we lock down Kelce and Hill at all cost........we can win this game. In other words, minimize the cheap/chunk plays. Make them earn everything they get.
Kelce is the one I fear...but then I was worried about Matt Ryan Sunday, so what do I know?

This appears to be the first game were Dallas is not at least even or have the quarterback advantage. I think Dak will out play Mahomes and prove to the haters he is an elite quarterback. Finally a Sunday afternoon game that should meet the hype. This game is a true duel. Guns will be a blazing.
I have a feeling Dak is taking this game personally. As you stated, if he wants to be seen as elite he has to go out and show it. I fully expect him to play a great game against KC.

La'el needs to be the starter if Tyron is a go
perhaps steele back to RT (which I hated to move him to LT in the first place)....and Williams is on a short leash. maybe Collins is the guy that will slide into his position and give us more power in the middle.

for whatever amount of time Tyron is healthy id have Steele at RT and La'el at LG.

not sure blitzing dak is the way to go,best bet is to rush 3 or 4 and play coverage.

-Chiefs offense hasn't been the same this season, however they just came off their best offensive performance since the first month of the season. Now they are getting back Clyde-Edwards back and feel they are ready to go on a run. Probably the toughest test this defense has faced since Tampa opening night. Good challenge as we are going to have to face elite offenses down the road in the postseason. Noticed when you take away their big plays abilities, they get frustrated and take chances. Travis Kelce is Mahomes security blanket when he needs to make a play.

-Their defense was god awful for the majority of the year, but the last few weeks they started to get healthy and has be noticeably better. Their DC who was with the Giants during their Super Bowl runs, comes from the Jim Johnson Coaching Tree, point is, they are going to blitz a lot, do they have the secondary to hold up against our receivers?

-Arrowhead is one of the hardest places to travel. Excellent opportunity to prepare this team for future road postseason games in hostile environments. Win here, against a quality opponent, they will have the confidence to travel anywhere, even Green Bay if needed down the line.

- RB Clyde-Edwards is gonna be a 1st rd bust .. Average RB. there is nuthin bout his game he does that stands out .he’s not a breakaway, not top elusive, not a factor in goal line, not special receiving skills. and they simply don’t lose anything different in backup Williams.

- Chiefs still have OL issues- I constantly see Orlando Brown getting his azz handed to him, far better a RT than LT, imo.
and it’s still too many instances where Mahomes is running for his life too often because of the OTs. .they do have a promising rookie center.

- Because of the defensive issues (why DC Spagnola units always take major steps back everywhere he’s been) and OL issues, Mahomes presses to catch up
and the better teams are scheming to keep all plays in front of them, scheme to take/minimize Tyrek Hill and let the Robinson, Hardman, Pringle guys beat you

-This is where we need zeke-pollard run attack, wear KC down and also keep touches away from Mahomes - while we finished TD scoring drives ourselves.
Chiefs cannot contain our WRs, .their best hope is to disrupt Dak at the OL – but if we can run the ball, that's a dual threat Chiefs have to tend to. - we really need far more splash runs in run game.

- We are not/will be taking in FGs, - u don’t beat a high power offense with 3 point FGs, …expect MM to force several 4th down ..
- And where is safety Juan Thornhill? …who Cowboys fans utterly ripped Cowboys for bypassing for sake of DT Trysten Hill …?? ..Thornhill is still a backup with Chiefs.

- We can get big plays and drive on Chief D” .everybody does nowadays .. .just cannot commit turnovers & have killer penalties- offense or defense.

- DT Chris Jones and Tyranny Mathieu are their cornerstones. I’ll chance Martin vs Chis Jones, but Jones vs Tyler and Conner Williams … yikes !!
Tyranny would’ve been a helluva FA addition at FS, but we were so hell bent on the troubled minded Earl Thomas at that time. And Stephen would’ve low balled Tyranny anyway.

Same formula, get up on them and make Mahomes check down while trying to keep up....he can not do it he will give us the ball as he has no patience.

Nice analysis!!

-Can our banged up DL generate a pass rush without of two starting DE's?
-Yes, our kicker can take the day off, unless it's to win the game. FG's won't get it done against an explosive offense like the Chiefs.
-With Clark/Jones now back and the addition of Ingram, they have a very good pass rush and might not need to blitz too often.
-I would really consider putting Collins in at LG if Tyron returns.
-Game is all about time of possession and finishing drives in the redzone with TD's.
