Well, all the credit he was receiving was for gracefully giving away responsibilities by some;) Nothing related to his regime was displayed during that stretch as has been well versed in this forum. They ain't working right now (OC/DC) so no longer acceptable to stand and nod...get back to work(JG) with the help of the coaches that gave you 6-3 of course.

All the credit he was receiving? Lol.

NFL Network did have him in the running for coach of the year at the midway point I saw. It's a shame that one clearly belonged to Arians, because it would have been a hoot to have Garrett actually win it, just for the thread here.

For my part, i think Jason'd be pretty happy to stand pat on his record so far. We're in agreement that it's important for us to beat an inferior team in a game we traveled for but which will ultimately world out to be effectively another home game for the Dallas Cowboys.

Oh I meant here more than national credit. The "plan" or "process" were "finally" showing its head, but disregarding the main variables (Lin/Mar) that coincided with the results. Relates more to Linehan and the run heavy offense but we all know Linney has had his own issues these last two weeks as well (no adjustments and bad gameplans). He needs to step it up.

Oh, ok. I guess I just didn't see any of that. Although I do think the process is paying off, I've thought that all along, so it wasn't the case for me that anything was 'finally' happening. I can't imagine anybody having disregarded the impact of important coaches like the defacto OC and the DC on the winning streak. Those are important pieces in every organization. Some of the most important pieces on the entire team.

Then again, I'm not one to thing the quality of our game planning has been all that volatile this season, either. I think it's pretty much been solid all along, and it's the ability or failure to execute properly that makes a game plan look better or worse to the fans who can only see what's going on from the outside in. Washington probably out coached us defensively, but there are just too many examples of failures to execute properly to put the loss of a close game mostly on the plan. AZ, as far as I'm concerned we were so limited at the QB position that no plan was going to win that game. If you don't have a guy who can beat 9 in a box, you're not going to beat a good team, period.

I agree even Jimmy Johnson offense, Troy has been quick to point out that it was Norv offense. Like any profession sports or business you are only as good as the people around you.

Lol, you are fooling yourself if you think this is a make of break for Garrett. This team can go without winning another game this year and Garrett will be back

Garrett is here at least until romo is here to keep us competitive

Once romo goes , you will see the real process

Yeah you are probably right (unfortunately). I was speaking more personally acknowledging the credit pill that I would swallow if he got the team a playoff win. But yeah...

The game plans have been on point (although not as creative as I imagined) up until WAS (not adjusting to blitz) and with AZ in having a backup QB throw 33 times when the run game was working (well enough anyway). When I was speaking of the credit I perceived being attributed to Garrett, it relates more to people being "glad" we stuck with Garrett through his tenure, the "we were lucky to be 8-8 while rebuilding", or that his "imprint" was finally showing its head as a "strong OL and run first team" when no evidence was displayed previously to support this "build up".

Ah, see, we probably just won't agree on that front then, because all of those things happen to be true, I think. And also were readily in evidence during the last 3 years. That's precisely the reason why most of the people who disagree with you disagreed with you in the first place. To think otherwise, you'd have to believe that there was no evidence of progress all along, yet a lot of smart posters believed there actually was, and then, this season, things magically got better when we decided to run the ball some more.

Garrett can keep Jags guessing all week as he pleases about Romo's status for Sunday. Bottom line is he and his staff better devise a game plan that produces a victory. No matter who starts at QB.

No excuses for losing against the Jags.

Weeks ago our mantra was no excuses for losing to the ***skins.

I remember it more as 'Cowboys/Skins is a rivalry game, and you never know what you're gonna get in a rivalry game.'

True it is also just part of pro football. What were the odds the Rams would take down the 9ers at home last weekend? There is no excuse but like it or not it happens and frankly happens fairly often where a team with no chance walks in and beat you. Tampa went to Pitt and did the same thing and there are a boat load of other examples.
