Easley could push way into 1st round

Would anybody hate it if he was our pick in a trade down scenario like last year? Of course we would hope to get more than just a 3rd, but I assume our medical staff got a good look at him when he visited. If they felt comfortable with his knees going forward I can't say that I would have a problem with the pick

Not surprised. With a good check-up, his skill deserves first round selection. And in a year with few top-end pass rushers, Easley's medical red flags become less worrisome.

I've thought about picking him in a trade-down, but this team really needs an impact, day 1, step in and play starter. As a matter of fact, we need 3. So no, I'm not OK with Easley being our first pick.

That's fine. That mean someone else gets pushed down further. No need to reach or over react. Too many rumor before the draft.

Even if Easley is on track to play week 1?

I am. I think Easley plus a 3rd is better value than Donald minus a 3rd if the team docs are sold. That guy getting 1st round consideration despite 2 torn ACL's tells you all you need to know about the kind of impact that guy can have.

The extra third is awfully tempting. I'd prefer Ward in a trade down. I think we'd get a playmaker who fills a hole who is just way more reliable.

It's a difficult question. You really have to depend on the input of the Doctor's and the probably of recovery if he injures a knee again. Also, I would want to know the history of athletes that have blown out ACLs in both knees. Do they have the same probability to succeed as players that have blown out 1 ACL?

My gut feel is that it's a bad idea to use a 1st on Easley but for some reason I would be as concerned trading up 5 spots in the 2nd to draft him. That's probably an example of gut-feel not being logical.
