Im not going to do anything FA wise here. I went in a little different direction than normal. Enjoy

Draft

19: R1P19
S JUSTIN REID
STANFORD
Gives us a very athletic safety without having to trade up and lose picks. He can do it all on the field and is very quick. Needs some polish obviously but would be a great addition to this young backfield

50: R2P18
G BRADEN SMITH
AUBURN
I don't think Marcus Martin is here to start. This is also insurance in case we lose Zach Martin next season.

81: R3P17
LB JOSEY JEWELL
IOWA
Need help up the middle and this kid would be a great addition

116: R4P16
DL NATHAN SHEPHERD
FORT HAYS STATE
Animal of a player. We have worked him out personally and I think Rod can make this guy into a very good 1T

137: R4P37
OT WILL RICHARDSON
NORTH CAROLINA STATE
Don't think Fleming stays next season, so this pick is so he can sit and learn and get some reps in for a year before taking over the swing tackle role.

171: R5P34
LB NICK DELUCA
NORTH DAKOTA STATE
Kid is just a tackling machine and we need that for when Sean Lee goes down.

192: R6P18
WR DAURICE FOUNTAIN
NORTHERN IOWA
This kid blew up his pro day. Would be a steal here and would help out this team a lot.

193: R6P19
DL PJ HALL
SAM HOUSTON STATE
Depth signing but he could start. Great player and is always in the backfield

208: R6P34
CB BRANDON FACYSON
VIRGINIA TECH
Depth

236: R7P18
RB PHILLIP LINDSAY
COLORADO
Zeke backup. Loves contact, so we don't lose that edge when Zeke comes off the field.

I like your draft but not a big fan of Reid that early. I like him but not at 19. I understand that he might not make it to our 2nd but that is a chance I am willing to take.
Considering Garrett was at the pro-day for Alabama I can all but guarantee Ridley is the pick lol

That would be a pretty good draft haul. On its own, the Reid pick looks suspect. I.e. too early.
But given the collective draft, its a good combination.
But boy, imagine the out cry night number one of the draft !

seems like a Cowboys draft LOL but im not a fan of some of those mostly because ive never heard of most of them lol its nice that we don't have to trade up but id prefer at least trade up to Get either Vea, Payne, DJames, Rsmith... now if we stay put and those guys are all gone and Ridleys there at 19 id take him..not fan of simply taking Reid and hes a project but i don't know a lot about him..

Two limited athlete LBs?

The try hard LBs have replaced FBs as everybody mock picks in the mid rounds.

I like this draft. With your 19th pick I was prepared not like it but you pulled it together nicely.

I think I like the later rounds better than the early.

Remember that Borland kid that retired at San Fran? Dude was a stud. Jewel reminds me a lot of him. No measurables but can play. Hopefully he won't retire too soon.
