Eatman: Cowboys scouts like Josh Doctson

I love his game. He's got some wheels.

Baylor skill players always worry me. That offensive scheme they run is a big stat boost and they are about as unprepared for the NFL game as a player could be.

He definitely will need some work but he is an absolute freak athlete and the guy just consistently scored touchdowns. He'll score very, very highly on the SPARQ, which it seems the Cowboys have been using as a major factor in the players they draft. He scored a TD on 27% of his receptions.

I'm sure he will. Most likely moot anyways. I don't think he gets out of the 1st Rd.

Just gonna say it............

Loose lips.....sinks ships.

Now that this is out......99% chance he is not a Cowboy:(

I think he would have been the number 1 TE pick this year if he came out. Maybe even a late 1st Rd guy. His athleticism jumps off the screen and he's developed as a blocker. Maybe he thinks he can get up into the Ebron area with another year, but Alabama isn't an offense that features the TE in the passing game.

Yeah he's known for his blocking and the speed and athleticism he showed in the game was awesome. I'm a Bama fan. I'm sure he would have been the best one this year cause they way he jumped on the scene. Let's just hope Mr.Saban gets a QB, he usually goes with the transfer QB who has already graduated we will see this year.

At this point, I see Doctson as a mid-to-late 1st Round prospect in the 2016 Draft. Hopefully his wrist will be healthy in time to compete at the combine, as he's currently in line to miss the Senior Bowl.

Compares to (Current NFL Player): Allen Robinson (Jaguars)

Strengths
- Long, lean body, with very strong hands, large catch radius
- Climbs the ladder as well as anyone in the draft; he's a threat as a chain mover and in the red zone
- Smart, competitive player; consistent effort is there in both the passing and running game

Weaknesses
- Could use some time in the gym to add some strength to his lean frame
- Limited positional flexibility in college, so he might need time to adjust in NFL
- With limited speed, can he be a #1 receiver?

Interesting prospect at #34.

As others have said he speed at the combine will be very important.

Broaddus said Docson has a hard time with press coverage.
