Am I the only one more excited to see Williams in the starting lineup than Randle? And I've been impressed with Randle this season after not liking him at all last year.

Sucks to lose JR on STs, though. Especially with the Eagles coming up.
Been calling for williams to come up to the active roster all year.

Where exactly did you hear this?

He talked about all of the injuries on Cowboys Break today. He said Heath had surgery on his broken thumb and Randle was seen in a walking boot but he doesn't know when the injury occurred. Talked about how these injuries will affect the roster spots going forward and if Randle would have to go on IR if he has to miss a lot of time.

This seems a lot like the Cowboys are trying to make room for Williams without losing Randle. "Doesn't know what happened"... c'mon man when you're faking for the IR you gotta show something more creative than that.

If he's in a walking Boot on Monday how healthy will he be on a short week? I hope he doesn't try to play on a bad Foot/ankle just to keep Willams from taking his spot.

I'm sure he is. That's the only way he lost a spot to randle. That and special teams. But he is the better runner imo.
If a RB can't pass protect, he can't get on the field. Period. And Randle's averaging 7 yards per carry, so I'm skeptical that Williams would be noticeably better in that department.

Nope. I'm with you. No time like the present I guess.

I actually do think activating Randle was the right thing, all things considered. But, if anything happened to Murray (knock on @Wood), I'd want Williams to leapfrog Randle as the lead back. In terms of just running, he just runs so hard and is fun to watch. Randle is the better STer, though, no doubt about it.

Randle has run better this year against 1st teamers this than Williams did against insurance salesmen in the person. Randle can be the lead back.

Wasn't he talking about Heath possibly headed to ir and not randle?

Because of the surgery

I think they've both run well, but I don't agree with you that Randle was better at purely running the ball in preseason. I thought Williams ran it much harder, and that's without really getting the benefit of softening up defenses as his carries were limited.

I like Randle better in pass pro and STs, though, so it's obvious why he got that backup spot.

Honest question. Who is Ryan Williams and why do some people like him so much?
