If a RB can't pass protect, he can't get on the field. Period. And Randle's averaging 7 yards per carry, so I'm skeptical that Williams would be noticeably better in that department.

Randle can't pass protect either though. The eye test says williams is the better runner imo.

Honest question. Who is Ryan Williams and why do some people like him so much?

You didn't watch much preseason, did you?

He was a second round draft pick plagued by injury in arizona. Has some real skills if he can stay healthy.

Ryan williams better be the next emmitt from all ive read around here, never seen a practice squad player that no nfl team wanted for 11 weeks get so much love
This. He looked pretty good in preseason but that was against rookies and basic defensive alignments.

Ryan Williams was a second round pick for the Cardinals a few years back and had loads of potential. However, he battled several injuries and was cut. We picked him up and he did extremely well during the pre-season, he may have outperformed Randle at that point. He is now on the PS.

The only thing that makes me leery about Williams is the fact many teams lost RB and he is still on the PS.

He will run harder but Randle was shiftier. I look forward to seeing him knock the head off of some of the Eagle defensive guys

Bring up Ryan Williams then. Loved his running, but I hope they've worked with him on blocking.

For me it is clear Williams is an angry runner, for pass protection Dunbar in the backfield vs Williams is a coin flip IMO. That object on Williams shoulder that you can clearly see is called a chip.

So...from a potential season ending injury to "alright?" Fast healer. So a writer sees a guy in a walking boot and then starts speculating about season-ending injury reserve...just because? Who is this moron?

pretty sure we would have heard something more about Randle having a "potential season ending injury" already if his injury were to be true.

Might want to brush up on your sources as Helman is a staff writer for DallasCowboys.com
