I promise you guys, Jerry didn't want these hires. This was ALL Stephen and Jerry Jr. Pops has been somewhat neutered for a while, and it makes sense when you look at how the team has been operating for about a decade.

I believe Jerry knows he's old and is giving more authority to the kids as the end gets closer. We've been seeing that in several areas with Stephen and this may be an indication of Jerry saying all this is going to be yours, so you tell me what you want.

He was Ryan’s guy and he brought him here. When they fired Ryan….soon after spending big capital on the players he said he needed….Eberflus remained.

Wouldn’t know if he is still running that Kiffin/Marinelli stuff. Suppose so.

I mean, we should really be used to dated schemes by now. That’s all we ever get, but Jerry’s comfortable and is having fun with his kids. That’s what’s important.

Marinelli also had very little experience as a playcaller when he got here. Eberflus is a significantly better DC than Marinilli was. This is more akin to get Quinn in 2021 than getting another Marinelli. This a good hire if it holds. I just want good coaches. I don't care what scheme they run
