Last year after beating the giants, going to Seattle the following week I specifically remember in almost every interview players commenting on "12 th" man. It seemed to me that so much emphasis gets/got put into crowd noise, that it made its way into our players heads before even taking the field. I see this same trend now, hyping the arrowhead stadium and its crowd, while I understand you need to acknowledge it, seems to me a little to much, at the end of the day you need to go out and execute. 8 games are away which means 8 stadiums packed with fans that don't like you. Yeah it's gonna be loud, but why so much harping on it feeding their fans as well as setting that hype into our own players minds?

They are not going in there intimidated out of there minds. It's fact...

Big part of football is communication, if a guy is screaming in your ear while you are trying to talk to your wife/GF you will most likely have to have her repeat it.

With this game, I see a more focused team...the offense just has to stay calm. On D, I'm not to worried

Letdown against a subpar opponent after a big divisional win is something that happens to just about every team in football. 2012 in Seattle was brutal, but thats something that happens all the time, its not a Dallas problem exclusively.

Did you see them as an intimidated team last year going into week two? And I don't mean that in a condescending way I'm genuinely curious.

Because Arrow head is loud and the coaches will prepare the team for that so that maybe they can limit or avoid communication break downs. Media harping on it there is nothing you can do about it but it is pretty well known that Arrowhead is one of the louder stadiums in the NFL

No I saw them as a team, that just was not focused. Went into a hostile environment which screwed that focus up even more. Which therefore caused a ton of mistakes.

With or without the crowd, Cowboys were going to get beat by Seahawaks last year because Seahawks were simply a better team.

a lot of chiefs fans are pretty upset that the ticket prices have skyrocketed since it's a Dallas game, most of the available tix being bought up by cowboys fans

not only that but since when does our fanbase not travel well? I'd bet dollars to donuts a good 40% of that crowd will be cowboys fans

I think we all got suckered into that game. Lesson has been learned.

I don't think it's a case of the fanbase "traveling well", rather there's fans everywhere.

As of week 2, I dont think they were. The talent difference wasn't 27 - 7. The focus was.

Show of hands if you believe that your defense should be able to handle Kansas City?

With little to an ineffective Jamaal Charles and a passing game that has really has no vertical dimension, what is the worry...

Focus definitely played part but margin of score doesn't matter, Seahawks were a better team.

Just the game, I never take any game for granted. KC is still a professional football team and Cowboys need to go in ready to play

Just because we thought Seattle was subpar going in, does not mean they were a bad team. If you recall they had a pretty OK season, and are considered among the NFC favorites this season.

There are some differences from this game and last years Seattle game. Seattle was coming off of a loss against the Cardinals where they really struggled offensively while breaking in a rookie qb. We were coming off a win that we circled all offseason since the schedule had been announced winning at the Giants. We also had 3 extra days of rest and RUST by opening on Wednesday. Those factors to me led to coming in overconfident and a little sloppy/rusty.

This year we are facing a team that won in dominating fashion with a veteran qb and we are also coming in after a win but are on a normal schedule. We also have some key injured/new players returning to action for this game. Also having been through the experience of losing to Seattle last year I don't think we'll be overlooking anybody or overconfident. Also NO FELIX JONES.

I agree its more focus lasy year than anything. Yeah. If I remember correctly, that game wasn't that much of a blowout until midway in the fourth. Turnovers set the tone of the game right from the start. Seattle probably still would have won. But not 27-7.

I knew nothing about Seattle going into that game. It took me all of 5 minutes to shocked at their physicality on defense. They were the bully down the street and the bullied the Cowboys and a lot of other teams last year.

The Seahawks said we were frauds who they just had to hit in the mouth and we'd fold.

They were right.
