I think he was a candidate for head coach if he would've not said he's not sure if he wants to coach anymore he literally just came out and said he's most likely retiring why would you even consider him an option if he's not under contract and said he wants to retire literally you guys act like he turned down the job because he thinks it's a bad one that's not true I really believe he would have been in the running for head coach had he not came out and said he's not sure if he desires to coach anymore why would you want a guy who's that close to retirement on your team.....

Good for Zim
what do you mean good for him lmao I'm glad that you guys really use the social media nonsense that's posted for clickbait and tries to stir up the fan base you act like Mike McCarthy and Mike Zimmer chose not to be with the Cowboys 'cause they think it's a joke they think it's round by clowns and they turned it down and you'd be farther from the truth..

Mike McCarthy's not here because he and Jerry couldn't come to terms I believe Jerry wanted the whole offense change he wanted Mike McCarthy to fire most of his staff and not do the play calling anymore and that's the problem that truly was the problem it wasn't money or years that could have been worked out easily this had to do with making major changes to the staff and that's what Jerry wanted Mike didn't they're now not together anymore..

Zimmer, I think he was a candidate for head coach, if he would've not said he's not sure if he wants to coach anymore,

he literally just came out and said he's most likely retiring...

why would you even consider him an option if he's not under contract and said he wants to retire literally you guys act like he turned down the job because he thinks it's a bad one that's not true I really believe he would have been in the running for head coach had he not came out and said he's not sure if he desires to coach anymore why would you want a guy who's that close to retirement on your team.....?

Don't believe what you choose common sense is what people should follow and what I'm saying is closer to the truth then you all acting like these guys spurn the dallas cowboys. Which by the way there's only one head coaching job open with the Saints that's it that's all that's left and there aren't many people that are picking up either of these two guys were discussing I mean there might be a choice but I'm telling you Mike Zimmer wants to retire he's not sure he wants to coach and that is why he's not coming back.

Zimmer has been on the verge of retiring lately, whereas Schotty is signed on for 4 years. He'll decide who to hire, unless Jerry interferes.

Retirement > working

Doesn't seem that difficult.
Well after this week all the negative comments on the coaching choices here it just sounded like they were barking up the same Mike McCarthy narrative which by the way is not true to me that he spurned Jerry Jones so I'm thinking they thought Mike Zimmer did the same thing and I was making sure I reminded people that he already said this on his last press conference right before or after the last game that he wasn't sure he wanted to coach anymore I just wanna remind folks of the reality instead of the hate Jerry narratives..

Which I fully understand the blowback but I just wanna make sure people remember the facts..

Jerry wanted changes to the staff so badly he hired the OC to be the HC? Wait yeah that sounds about right with Jerry. I can tell your True Blue as I and many others here used to be and it is hard accepting what we have become. Im not saying that sarcastically either, its a shame what this ownership has done to this franchise, actually sickening. I can never be a fan for another team ever. Which makes watching this train wreck of a front office much harder to watch. Remember what Jerry said: during the Parcells era it was the least enjoyable and hardest time he had while owning the team, because Bill was in charge and he wasnt busy enough with the team. He is a billionaire and this is his money making toy and his to do what he wants and he is doing it Damn everyone and what they have to say.
Very sad times

So wait, you are happy with the coaching decisions? I also don't need a 6 paragraph reply. Just a yes or no suffices..

Zimmer aint all that anyway. I never understood the Zimmer cult out there and the luv for him. Hes had moments but that's all. He spoke about retirement which meant his heart isn't in it so yeah, like you said, the team moved away from him. I agree, I don't think he wanted to be here. I also think it was mutual. The internet junk is out of control. You nailed it.

no because the offensive coordinator was actually Mike McCarthy ,just because Schottenheimer had the name and the title, he didn't have a whole lot to do with the offense he basically implemented whatever Mike McCarthy told him to during practice and gave him the game plan,

so telling Mike McCarthy to step down as the play caller and giving more power to Schottenheimer and changing a lot of the offensive staff that is what he got done..

I mean I don't see where you don't see that and by the way that wasn't his first choice I believe he was going to go with Kellen Moore or one of the ones that actually get a formal interviews, let's be clear that was not the plan to hire Brian schottenheimer I've already explained this in other threads I hate to break common sense out but I have to literally the first interview with Brian schottenheimer went well enough that Jerry at that point started changing his mind from Kellen Moore or the others I think it was Kelly Moore all the way the whole time and that's why they sent up the second interview and it went a really long time A10 hour interview somehow he got Jerry attention enough where Jerry made some calls to Pete Carroll he's talked to some other people that were Brian schottenheimer's peers and he got an idea that maybe schottenheimer was now a top candidate but that was not the plan...

bSO, don't come at me like you don't understand, because I understand, he got the changes he wanted and it had to be moving on from my McCarthy, because I believe Mike McCarthy refused to demote himself as offensive coordinator/play caller, and he refused to agree to let go of a lot of his staff and make changes..

so therefore Jerry made it for him they couldn't come to terms yes they mutually agreed to parting ways but the reason for it has been widely over exaggerated on the Internet.. So yes there are enough threads that you can go read other responses we believe that while there be similarities offense and his philosophy is different than mike mccarthy's.. well ,just let's let time tell how this goes...
