Depends if we can cover their wideouts. Think Rodgers will be throwing all day until we prove we can.

I believe the game plan for GB will be handing the ball off to Lacy until his tongue falls to the ground. They will use him to protect Rodgers injury.

I don't think they are going to run him that much. He's had 3 games where he has had 20+ carries. I definitely feel like we can't let him get going for big runs. I don't want to see this guy running effectively all game because it will make it much easier for Rodgers.

Lacy ran all over Detroit and it wasn't even funny, this Cowboy team better be prepared for it.

He had some nice runs but 'ran all over' them. Not really. He ran for 3.8 yards a carry.

If they do that, they're not playing to their strengths. I'll take that all day long.

Agreed. Lacy is a good running back, but they're not accustomed to playing games where he carries in upwards of 30 times. A few things to consider:

*Lacy has topped 20 carries three times this season, so they're clearly not a team used to acting out a game plan where he takes the leadi role.

*In last week's game against Detroit, Lacy and Starks combined to run for 126 yards, an impressive total for sure. But 59 of those yards came on the opening drive where the Packers almost exclusively ran the ball. Take away that opening drive, where it looked as if Green Bay's game plan caught Detroit by surprise, and the Lacy/Starks duo averaged 2.7 yards for 67 yards the rest of the way.

Lacy averaged 3.8 yards per carry for the game, and averaged under 3.0 yards per carry after the opening drive where he ripped off a 22-yard run. Not sure I'd consider that running "all over" Detroit.

It's all relative, son. 3.8 YAC against Detroit's run D means how much against us? 4.3? 6.6?

People always try to do that with statistics,,, if you take out anybody's big runs it drops their YPC down. 100 rushing yards against Detroit seems pretty impressive... but I take your point, it was a grind for Lacy. Pretty committed for GB to run him 26 times.

Those people underestimating Lacy need to look at our own RB. Murray has been a completely different back the last half of the season and no one has been talking about it.

The first 8 games of the season, he averaged well over 20 carries, broke 100 yards every game, and was on pace to not only beat Dickerson's all-time record, but shatter it.

The second half of the season, he only broke 25 carries twice, and broke 100 yards 4 times (but 2 of those times were exactly 100 yards). He also had games where he averaged 4.2, 3.7, 2.6 and 2.6 yards.

Murray has only gained 80 more yards than Lacy in the final 8 games, but Murray had far more carries. Murray averaged 4.2 yards the last 8 games while Lacy averaged 5.0.

That's not including the Lions game where Murray had 75 yards on 19 carries for a 3.9 average.
