The media has been talking about it.

No one here has been. At least not that I've seen. I don't pay much attention to the media because I can't take most of what they say seriously. But us being Cowboys fans tend to look at things more objectively. So I'm surprised I haven't seen it mentioned much. Also, every article I read about the game mentions the Cowboys' strong running game being built to play in cold weather. And I'm saying we haven't been much better of a running team the second half of the season than other teams.

No one here has been talking about Murray's lack of recent production? Really?

Agree with the OP. Team needs to be prepared for a heavy dose of Lacy. With the exception of Philly, this is the best OL-RB combination we have faced all season, so their running game is no pushover should they choose to feature it. GB will probably lean on the running game more to protect Rogers. If they're gashing us up front and then able to play-action into easy throws, Rogers' calf injury will be a non-factor.

That guy is a load. I saw him listed at 230 but he looks bigger than that to me. Hopefully Ro Mac is out there to meet him in the hole!

With Rogers calf injury, G.Bay will stay even further away from being one-dimensional (pass only). Gotta figure they will be content to keep throwing Lacy into the LOS with Garrets sol called "dirty runs".......effective even though minimal yardage gained. A lesson Detroits off coor could've learned last week.

Agreed. Lacy is a good running back, but they're not accustomed to playing games where he carries in upwards of 30 times. A few things to consider:

*Lacy has topped 20 carries three times this season, so they're clearly not a team used to acting out a game plan where he takes the leadi role.

*In last week's game against Detroit, Lacy and Starks combined to run for 126 yards, an impressive total for sure. But 59 of those yards came on the opening drive where the Packers almost exclusively ran the ball. Take away that opening drive, where it looked as if Green Bay's game plan caught Detroit by surprise, and the Lacy/Starks duo averaged 2.7 yards for 67 yards the rest of the way.

We gave been "caught by surprise" many times. How do you go into an NFL game and not prepare for the blitz?
We better start fast or it can be a long day

Lacy can do major damage to the Cowboys defense . He should be looked at very seriously.
I see the Packers being very balanced in their play calling.

Cowboys must tackle well. Lacy is HUGE. Wrap him up and don't let him get those extra yards.

Lacy is damn good lets not underestimate him or that line. With that said, I do like our chances more if their game plan is to run. He is very Marshawn esq, but Gb has a better OL

I hope we shut down their run game early. One dimensional offenses are always easier to defend.

GB may be utilizing Lacy more than they normally might but Rodgers has had 2 weeks to rest up and he'll likely be close to the top of this game Sunday. I don't expect to see him scrambling but he shouldn't have to with that OL of his pass blocking as well as they do. Lacy is really a load to bring down, with tacklers bouncing off of him like the balls in a pinball machine. Between Rodgers and Lacy, I'm expecting our defense to have their hands full, no question there.

I've mentioned it he looks tired and opponents have been stacking up bent on stopping him. He's only had one 100 yard game in his last 4 games and his rushing average has taken a dip. The Cowboys shouldn't have played him as long as thy did Washington in the season finale it was an opportunity for him to get his legs back some.

I like Lacy a lot was beyond pissed when the Cowboys passed him up in the draft for Escobar. He's a real load who ran all over the Cowboys last season for 141 yards on a bad ankle. He ended up scoring the winning TD in the final minutes of Green Bays 23 point comeback. He's only had 3 games this season where he's carried the ball more than 20 times and last week he had a season high 26 carries due to Rodgers injury. He's going to have some fresh legs and with Rodgers not being 100% I expect to see a pretty heavy dose of Lacy on Sunday.

He's a down hill runner who can be dangerous out in space as a receiver. His receiving skills have really developed he had 8 catches earlier in the season vs NO for 123 yards so the Cowboys have to be prepared for him. With Rodgers mobility being limited he'll want to get the ball out quick so we have to keep an eye on Lacy out in the flat because once he gets going he can rumble off some yards.
