Edoga carted off

We know this happens to every team every year. Time to fill Martins last 2 voided years. Is he wanting more money or an extension. My guess is both. JJ will make it look sweet but watch the guaranteed money. I understand it business but Martin (his agent) named his price and JJ wrote the check. He makes 14 a year but he is falling out of the top guard pay. Some are making up to 20. He wants to cash in one last time. This is for sure his agent doing it. He will want 20 a year.
Look, I know Jerry gets some Johnny Blue in him by noon for those pressers, but I can't image there isn't an easy solution here. Flip him some guarantees, extend a year or two, have a nice come to Jesus moment and picture opp in Jerry's office. I hope they don't hardball Martin because a mil here or there doesn't affect the cap.

They better trade for a vet...or 2. Sounds like they have a bunch of jags, and no Zack.

Our Oline backup situation will haunt us throughout the season. Yet Jerry does nothing about it until its too late. Addressing it next year doesn't count. The FO is always late when we are just about ready to take that next step.

OL depth (or lack thereof) has the potential to really derail the season if a couple injuries to starters occur.

At this point Jerry simply needs to get Zack back with the team and attempt to find some ok depth pieces in FA (easier said than done).
Struggling already.

so fans were thinking this chronically injured player was going to be the team's savior? You guys weren't thinking he was going to be taking Zack's job? I hope not, if so you and Jerry are on the same page. sheesh...

Edoga only has one prior injury that I see and that was a knee injury as a rookie late in the year.

Go get Dalton Risner before someone else does. That will add some much needed security. Probably the last half-decent interior lineman left who isn‘t a member of AARP. Tyler can always back up LT.
I think this is a no-brainer. This front office can't be dumb enough to let this season, when they legitimately have a team good enough to go all the way, to tank because of their resistance to spending a little more to build a little quality depth on the OL... right?

Really depends on how the unproven players play: Waletzko, Ball, Bass, Farniok, Hoffman, Lindstrom, Richards and Bostick. Considering how much the defensive line has been dominating, I'm not too secure with the depth even with Edoga.
Even with Edoga, I wasn't secure with the roster of nobodies on the interior oline.
We could have drafted 2 interior oline in premium rounds and not been overdoing it.
