Even if you don't fall for the speed aspect of it, just take a look at what happens to the ball carriers he hits.
You can't teach that.
I'm glad you brought this up because here's an interesting twist to this story:
At the beginning of the second round, the Bears told Ohio
safety Michael Mitchell to stay by his phone because they
planned to draft him at No. 49. But the Raiders beat them to
it, taking Mitchell two spots earlier.
"When [the Bears] did that, I was like, 'I'm going to be a
Chicago Bear,' " Mitchell told the Raiders media during a
teleconference. "That's what I was thinking."
That's what the Bears were thinking, too, until Oakland
raided their second-round cupboard.
"Unfortunately the players we targeted at 49 did not fall to
us and we weren't in a position that we were able to move
up ¿ we just didn't have enough," Angelo said.

So he hits hard? I can show you some HS video of a kid that you would love as well. You would watch him and likely think he is a top talent. Unfortunately the poor kid is stuck with gunner duty and nothing else. Google the name Mason Wald and look for his highlight vid.
Again I say .. and? He had a workout which teams took notice of him. That's great for him. But with scouts at his games, watching film, etc., NO ONE noticed him. If he were as good as his highlights show, do you not think he would be highly noticed by someone before then? Do you think so many scouts and analysts would let a guy from the MAC Conference just go un-noticed if he had that much talent?
It's great he got noticed based on a 40 time, SS, bench reps and other things. However, the tape from the last 4 years that scouts had seen did not get him noticed.
