who knows? Like those whining romo should have been less agressive; Dez should have been less agressive and so on
Playing it safe rarely wins big games
With romo I always believed we had a punchers chance to beat anyone

This current group Idk, sometimes they just play like they wanna keep it close

Big plays.
That is what so many think are so important. so what is a big play? One that scores or sets up a score. In big games that is usually the difference
Who knows what would have happened. Beasely might have dropped it; we might have not scored at all. You can claim all you want but it does not mean anything
Right, while you claim Beasley would have dropped a 5 yard pass…

As usual, Beasley was wide open on a quick slant for 5 easy yards plus more. Romo took highest risk option. Hit Beasley for easy pass, get a first down, run the clock down and score so no time for Rodgers.
He didn’t even read Beasley because he saw Dez had one on one coverage and there was a blitz coming from the other side. His progression was from left to right and Beasley was at least the third option. Witten was second and double covered.

I’ve always thought being it was 4th down he should have just secured ball after catch and gone down. 1st and goal.

The fact he tried to make more out of it extending for the goal like is what caused the ball to jar loose.

1st and goal would have served us much better in a position to run the clock down some as well.

And for a 4th down that was a risky long pass anyway. When Romo could have dumped it down underneath to get the first down.

We can’t just blame the controversial call on the outcome . There was much more going on in that play. And we could have executed it better with so much at stake on 4th down.

I still wish Romo took the underneath throw for 1st down easy , or Dez didnt go for EZ , just went down with the catch. Both going glory or perish approach , lead to disaster. Also the dumb foot ball move is so subjective ( changing ball from one arm to another and lunging for EZ is not considered as football move then what else is? Please… )

Dez caught it

The defense also would have blown that game. Rodgers with 4+ minutes left? rofl

MVP caliber actually but you just knew they were going to give it to Rodgers.

I cannot explain why but my fandom changed forever that day. I was never the nervous wreck, depressed, joyous, rabid fan I was my entire life after that game. Maybe I just finally matured, maybe it's Jerry, the league, or maybe something else I'm not aware of but it's just not the same.
Your post resonates with me. My fandom has not been the same since that play. I should never let a game impact my mood and demeanor....but you should not get people invested like I was....like Dez was....and just blatantly steal from me...and to a larger degree Dez. Too make myself feel better...I have withheld my resources. Of course that does not impact the NFLs bottom line...but it was my only recourse to make me feel like I did not or do not just sit here and take it.

Because of this I am also pro player. Get as much as you can. Because this is a business. And the people in the suits make money before you start your career....they make money during your career....and they will continue to make money once your career is over. I repeat, this is a business!!!

Romo played well, but our defense played like trash in the second half. Aaron Rodgers beat us hopping around on one leg.
That's the story of Romo's football life. Some claims Romo was a choker.

I'd ask them "how many times did the defense make him go back on and (try to) win the game again?" I;d ask but they don;t remember that part...conveniently.

More textbook projection. You're well known around here as a double down liar once you've been corrected so I'll let the rep speak for itself.
I don't lie. Ever. I imply what I understand to be correct, whether football or other things, and I'm usually proven correct with time. I'm also not too proud to admit when I'm wrong, unlike you. I'm pretty sure other posters feel the same way about you, especially concerning this subject.

It's funny because there used to be 2 or 3 long videos all showcasing Romo's Interceptions throughout his career. Shortly after they were posted, they no longer exist on YouTube. Ironic how that happened for all 3 anti-Romo videos, yet you still see tons of career highlight reels. Yeah, clearly, those in charge of YouTube caved in to the masses of crybaby and whining Romo fanatics who obviously complained and demanded those 3 videos get taken down. I wonder why? Because it would destroy his image of doing no wrong and costing games and seasons on the football field.

But, Dak sucks, eh?

It’s doubly sad because you get a strong suspicion if the teams were reverse in the situation they’d call it catch
They actually did in the very same game. Cobb clearly did not catch his pass earlier in the game, but replay said he did despite clear and irrefutable evidence that the ball was trapped.

The ridiculous double standard within the same game, that Dallas, as usual, got the short end of the stick on, is a big reason a lot of us don't respect or trust NFL officiating.

that’s right. The executive arm of YouTube have conspired to protect Tony Romos image.

Btw, it’s odd that an alleged “cowboys fan” would know exactly how many anti-Romo videos were on YouTub……..dude, you just told on yourself.

in my case, I have no idea how many anti-Dak videos exist because I’m a Cowboys fan first and foremost and have no desire to search the internet of things that are anti-Dak or anti-any Cowboys players.

why don’t you put together some new anti Romo videos and upload them on YouTube so you can go back to hating again.

1. Dez and defender bumped legs as Dez had hands on the ball.
2. Dez leapt forward (not a football move.)
3. Dez is falling forward
4. Ball cradled between Dez's hand and crook of his elbow.
5. Dez hit ground, arm with ball pushed forward to score
6. Ball wrapped in Dez' hand and elbow hits ground.
7. Ball pops up because of hitting the ground.
8. Dez rolls over and catches loose ball.
9. Dez slides into endzone.
10. Ground caused ball to move.

Lets not forget that it was MM who challenged the catch. Yup, same MM that is coaching Dallas today. Thank you MM can't wait for you to leave town for good.
