remember in movies around that time frame how indians were actually white people really tanned?

If you watch a lot of the old John Wayne movies, you see a lot of the same actors playing bit parts. In one movie they may be an Indian, the next Mexican, and later a white part.

really? that's crazy, of course film budgets weren't as huge back then as they are today, so that's understandable
