Elam, Suisham, Gramatica or Buehler?

Suisham was at 85% I believe, missing 1 from 20-29, 1 from 40-49 and 1 from 50+.

72% in 08 and 82% in 07 and 88% in 06.

He is also only 27.

Suisham might be the only viable option right now.I don't think he can be as horrible as Folk has been past few weeks. His only terrible games were against Dallas and against New Orleans.

Agreed. Probably the best option right now.

It's a shame that Folk has fallen apart in one season. Elam did the same this year.

Strange.......

What about Matt Stover? Maybe Adam Vinatieri comes back soon and the Colts release Stover.

Last I read, Adam V is not expected back until the playoffs.

Unless he's lost his leg I'd say Elam is the front runner. Coach D has worked with him before.

Not if anyone seen him kick this year. He is just as horrible as Folk if not worse.

In 07 FOLK was 83%...in 08 he was 90%...BUT look where hes at now past stats makes not difference when it comes to the position. When a kicker loses confidence its over for them. Suisham has lost his confidence and will be NO better.

I think Suisham would be fine. Remember when he was our kickoff guy and Vandershank had been struggling in preseason, and Parcells actually had Suisham active for a couple of games instead of Vandy? I think Parcells liked Suisham, and that means a little something to me. I don't think he'd ever like a guy he didn't think was mentally tough.

18 for 21 THIS YEAR is losing your confidence?

How so?

Cowboys to look at Shaun Suisham

He might have a chance to replace Nick Folk, who missed a 24-yarder against the Saints on Saturday.
The only difference in the misses - the Commanders lost their game and the Cowboys won their's.
According to sources, Suisham is scheduled to workout as a potential replacement for Folk on Monday, and the team made more calls on other kickers, including Dave Rayner, on Sunday.
If Suisham were to join the Cowboys, he would face the Commanders at FedEx Field next Sunday in the first game of what would be his second time around with the Cowboys.
Suisham, who kicked in parts of the 2005-06 seasons with the Cowboys, made 18-of-21 field goal attempts this season. He is 85-of-107 for his career. In six games with the Cowboys, Suisham made four of six tries.
Two weeks before the miss against New Orleans, he failed to connect on tries from 39 and 50 yards against the Cowboys, allowing Dallas to come back for a 7-6 win.
Folk has missed a field goal attempt in the last six games and has made just 18 of 28 tries this season. He is 5-of-12 between 40-49 yards this season and his 24-yard miss Saturday was his first between 20-29 yards in 2009.
The Cowboys have stuck by Folk this year because of his first two seasons when he missed just seven attempts and made a Pro Bowl. He had major surgery on his hip last May, limiting his off-season work but he has said he is healthy. Two weeks ago the Cowboys made a change from Mat McBriar to Tony Romo at holder but Folk has missed two-of-four with Romo on the job.

I think the problem with Buehler is that in practices all he does is kickoffs and hasn't spent much time on FGs. Besides do you want to rely on a rookie kicker in a clutch situation to kick a 50-40 yarder? IMO why not...he's already the KOS and I think he kicked FGs at USC as well.

I would if the rookie was Folk, well when he was a rookie of course, ironic huh

Ok gotcha...I knew there had to be a reason he was cut.

i see your point, i dunno about you but i want a clutch kicker. He hada chance at a FG to take out an hated divison foe,MISSED! Then he had a chance to beat the unbeatin saints, MISSED! I dont want that on my team.

I'd like to see what Buehler has also, if not him maybe Elam? He was a very accurate kicker for a long time before last year.

after that clip they showed of beuhler taking practice kicks i want him nowhere near even a PAT kick

I'd be leaning towards Elam...Wade and Decamillis have both coached him and he's got the best track record of anybody out there, even though he struggled in Atlanta.

Has it occurred to anyone that maybe the surgery Nick Folk had (torn labrum) in the offseason is the cause of his troubles? Maybe he rushed the rehab and now it could affecting him as a result? I would think the Cowboys would at least place him on IR and give him another shot next year in TC.

Agreed. I know its crazy but how about we stand by this kid. He was money... lets see if he can get straightened out for the future.

Suisham is a heartbreaker. I was actually getting annoyed that he was hitting so many FG's for Skins especially against us... until lately that is.

As crazy as it sounds I like Grammy. Maybe Elam....
