Rotary shavers are good if you shave your whole face, but if you have facial hair to shape, it's really difficult, especially below the nose.
Foil shavers are faster, and easy to maintain but noisy.Rotary ones if you have a fast speed model is the best choice.

Tell me about it i was searching about natural honey from Mongolia now i am getting all the Asian babes

Perfect timing, you can get that Norelco that Santa is riding down the little snow covered hills, always wanted that one. Better than shaving with that disc Clark Griswold rides down the hill.

I use a Braun Series 7 but not on my face, use it on my neck and a Norelco trimmer on my head and goat and a Gillette safety razor on my face. What a pain, they should just make a Nair for Men dip that we can lower our faces/heads into and be done with it. Couldn't wait to shave as a kid and now it's such a ridiculous task, like mowing the yard. It's growing back.

I like the scruffy look because that's how I feel inside and our outward appearance should reflect our inner scruffy soul. I tried growing a beard and people kept giving me money and asking me if I had a place to stay so that's out. Hell being a man and dealing with this shaving thing but it surely beats what women have to deal with their self maintenance. They wax something I can't talk about here without getting into trouble. In fact, I don't know where I can talk about that without getting into trouble.
Nair? now that's an idea wax can be painful

Haven't used an electric razor in years. Barely ever used one at all, to be honest. I have a Wahl Clipper but no real electric razor. When I used to have one, I used Braun and it lasted till I just gave it away to my younger Son.

I guess I really have nothing real to contribute on this subject.

I use an electric (Norelco) shaver/trimmer to trim my beard. (trim it down to about a 72 hour shadow every Saturday morning) Then I use a Mach 3 racer to tidy up for clean edges around the beard. (neck, above the check, etc)

When doing this, I only have to recharge the trimmer about once every six months and change the blade at the same time.

I have a Braun foil shaver, but I only use it for around my goatee, because it only shaves the short hairs, and it makes it easier to keep the shape without accidentally shaving what I want to keep. It also has multiple attachments for trimming, and nose and ear hair.
I was mistaken. My last shaver was a Braun. The one I have now is a Wahl.

When it comes to electric shavers, I'm currently use a Philips Norelco 4100:
DxK7PP1.jpg
Bought it on sale two years ago for $35 and use it for a quick shave while showering:
https://www.amazon.com/Philips-Norelco-Shaver-Model-AT810/dp/B006GQYSC8/

If I need a very close shave, I use my Merkur Futur double edge safety razor:

Bought it years ago, I like it's heavier weight over my previous safety razor for better control:
https://www.amazon.com/MERKUR-MK-70M-Adjustable-Double-Safety/dp/B00375BUQ8/

The blades I use for it are Feather Hi-Stainless Platinum double edge blades:

For about the same price I was paying for 4 Gillette replacements heads, I get 100 blades:

I've just discovered, in the last year or so, that foiled shavers are the way to go! I ended up with one by happenstance, and I love it. It does the job quick, smooth, and it doesn't irritate my skin. I cannot use regular razors. The round razors worked for me but would have the tendency to irritate my neck if the shave didn't go perfect. The foil ones? Silky smooth!

BTW, is everyone else suddenly getting ads for shavers, blades, and some laser hair removal thingy?

I notice this often on things I'm searching to buy. Kind of creepy.

Could never get used to an electric razor. I guess it takes time to get used to before you get a clean shave. Plus, it always left me with razor burn.

If someone could direct me to a reasonably priced razor that leaves a nice 5 o'clock shadow...I would appreciate. Every razor I get never trims my beard short enough...

I wonder if police ever had a standoff with a 5150 who’s holding an electric shaver to their neck? “One more step closer ..I swear I’ll do it!!”
