I dunno. I'm still not a believer in Eli Manning.

His accuracy is awful. And I've seen far too many meltdowns to believe he's suddenly figured everything out in the last few games after not figuring it out for the past four years.

If he does the job today, that'll go a long way toward changing my opinion.

I don't think he will.

:hammer: Exactly. The guy is a VERY streaky QB. We hear this every year about how Eli has finally figured it out and matured. He had his good streak, it just happened to be in the playoffs. Now he will come back down to earth. Pats 38, GMen 17

I'd rather hear that than about how the Pats are the greatest team, franchise, organization, and institution in the history of mankind.

Honestly, Eli may have a dumbface, but he doesn't seem like a bad guy. If the Giants do win, I'd be more sorry that d-bags like Strahan, Jacobs, and Shockey got a ring.

My thoughts exactly.

I have no problem with Eli.

It's the other guys that I would hate to see win it.

And I'm sick of the Patriots too. There's something magically twisted and sick to fantasize about the Patriots losing this game and having their dream season turn into an enormous choke that will haunt them from now on. I kinda like it.

Hey, if Dallas isn't in it, then I want some drama -- I want to see dreams shattered. I want to see heads roll. I want to see huge mistakes that cost someone the game. I want a Scott Norward miss, a Jackie Smith drop, a Joe Theismann INT to Jack Squirek.

In other words, I want someone else to really suffer.

Yeah, I know. I'm sick.

this is like having to choose between losing an arm or a leg. both choices suck. the patriots however should pretty much hadle the giants and stop the insanity.

safe? really?

Its halftime and the defense is shutting the Pats down giving Eli and the offense a chance.

AND....

IF Eli won the SB... it has nothing to with Romo. Undrafted vs. 1st round 1st pick. I dont get the connection. He is supposed to be good enough to win it.

If anything... Rivers vs Eli would be the debate.. NOT Romo

Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson also have SB win at this rate that is a far better comparison, if the Giants pull this off it will be cause of the D. shEli is lucky to only have 1 TO so far unless he does a 180 for the 2nd half i don't think we'll ever be answering this what if

What if this guys manages to play well and wins the freaking Super Bowl. That would suck for many Cowboys fans and especially Tony Romo. Romo has been placed as one of the elite QBs in the league. Eli is only thought of as Peyton Manning's kid brother. Can you imagine the crap we would have to hear especially from Giants fans if they win? Hell, I even heard Matt Freakin Leinert talking yesterday about how he thought the timing of the Cabo trip was horrible. Tomorrow, we could be talking about Eli Manning, Super Bowl Winning QB.

*shrugs* Didn't Mark Rypien win a Super Bowl? Trent Dilfer?

yeah so did, Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Troy Aikman and so on.

Come on our season turned out to be a failure we shouldn't sit here and take away from what the Giants are doing. Quit being so bitter.

what the Giants are doing is stinking up the joint, like 5 possessions in New England territory and 3 points to show for it

I do like how they are attacking the Pats though, wish our D has that mentality, we're going to man up on your receivers and bring the house

it's working
