I think Eli is a good QB but I think Romo has more to abilities than what Eli has.

true, but it doesn't make them right. I liked the post in that thread that shows Eli's numbers are just slightly higher than Trent Dilfer's and Doug Williams.

I think he is an ok qb. Very average in my opinion. The good news is with the way the league is going offensive in nature means he will never see a second one. The ring means the gints will be unlikely to get rid of him for someone better.

I think he is number 2 in the division behind Romo.

Basically, because they're clinging to the belief that stats mean nothing. When you look back on QB's of course you look to see how many SB's they won. But when you compare QB's and want to draw any meaningful conclusions from them you look at stats.

It's why I'd take Marino over Eli.

True he won a SB along with 52 other players. During the season he had a 73.9 QB rating and 23 TD and 20 ints. Giants ranked 21st in passing and but 4th in rushing and had a top ranked defense to lean on. This past season has been Eli best season as a QB. He threw for more yards than in any season he has played, thrown for more TD's than any season and managed to have his 1st season with a QB rating in the 90's

I thought Eli had a pretty good season it was his best individual season of his carer imo. I'd still take Romo or McNabb over him without thinking twice about it though

We are going to watch Eli fall very hard over the next couple of seasons...and rightfully so he's never been that good. He's nearly as inconsistent as McNabb...with less ability.
