I’ve never been a big fan of paying a running back that kind of money. Now I’m even more convinced. They need to do like the Rams did with Gurley and admit the mistake as soon as its reasonable on the cap.

We have 23.7 million in cap space....right now.

The best thing McCarthy could do right now...is send a message. This isn't the same Cowboys under Garrett. Players will be accountable....no matter how much you make.

He’s hardly in his prime, that ship sailed in 2016.

I wanted them to bench Zeke after the 2nd fumble for the half. However, I don't think Zeke's ship has sailed he's still young and at the age most RBs are in their prime. He's not a home run hitter, but a tough runner inside the tackles. The point is once you get down multiple scores you become one dimensional and take the entire running game out of it.

You can extend them, but do it like Pittsburgh does it. Same money, same years, but just the signing bonus is guaranteed. They do that with a lot of their players. Jerry is way too generous on the guaranteed years.

He has never been the same after that suspension. Although he was not terrible in 2018 but he was not the same. It has been a steep drop since the contract extension. I legit think he doesn't care. He knows he will never get a 2nd payday as a RB. He got his way when he held out and Jerry caved. what motivation does he have left? he's a cancer to this team now.

I'm not done with Zeke, but he's gotta play better and be part of the solution not the problem. He's still a young player in his prime and can rebound. It's just crazy how far behind the Cowboys get early and totally take him out of the game.

His prime was 2016-17.

It's cap suicide....the team has 23.7 million right now...the cap hit is 19 Million...then 8.7 in dead money. Don't see it happening.
