It's true and Zeke is extremely humble to say this.

Zeke is definitely a leader on this team.

I said a few weeks back that Zeke is a leader and a poster laughed at it. I understood why they did because it kind of came under the radar. But he’s a leader of this team whether people like it or not.

Pollard is the key player/ playmaker on this offense. Every time he touched the ball tonight he averaged 7.5 yards. That's invaluable.

Yes it is.. but so is Zeke's strong short yardage runs and you may have noticed that when they actually call some outside runs for him these last two weeks he's still got juice for those too. As I keep saying.. the push to make it one guy versus the other is just dumb. It's two good players doin what they do to help my favorite team win. I can't find it within myself to get mad about that.

Oh lots of people want to cut him next year.. but the better solution would be to redo his contract and enable the Cowboys to keep both backs and keep that two headed monster working!

And have more cap space devoted to the RB position than the rest of the division combined.

No thank you. I can find a back in the mid rounds to do what this diminished version of Zeke does. Without the creepy relationship with the QB.

Franchise Pollard. Cut Zeke.

Well when you buy your team you can do whatever you want with your players. Until then you don't get a vote as to who stays and what they get paid.. None of us do. Whining about it is a bigger waste of time than most of what is written here. Which is saying something..

Keep Zeke. That’s the no.1 priority. Restructure, get a d t and a corner.
He agrees to a new deal paying him half of what he is getting now and I consider keeping him. Otherwise he is gone. Draft his replacement and have a rookie deal at RB for the next 4 years. Use Zeke's $18M on a DT and CB. The team is instantly a much better team.

You: Keep both backs.

Me: Keep Pollard, cut Zeke

You: Until you buy your own team you don't get a vote.

Nobody who truly understands winning football thinks getting rid of good football players makes a team better. Are you one of those who thinks getting rid of Amari Cooper was a good thing too? Lamb and Co. are finally starting to fill that void but it took half the season to get there.. And Zeke won't make $18 million next year. More like 10.. There is nothing they can do about his prorated bonus but they can gut that salary in half and save 5-6 million against the cap. I think both sides can agree on that without much trouble.

Exactly. Feed and speed, lighting and thunder. These 2 feed off of eachother. And the relationship is awesome. Zeke will be back next year with a new deal and pollard will most likely get franchised

I'd franchise him but I wouldn't cut Zeke because $5M isn't really doing anything. Schultz walks, and Tyron gets released.
