I saw a lot of doubters when it came to Ezekiel Elliott over the last year or so (mostly Dak apologist) but he continues to show that he is not only the best player on this team but likely one of the best players in the league.

Last year missing 6 games due to suspension, he was 10th in the league in rushing. That's incredible. He was on pace for 1572 in a year that people suggested he wasn't running very well. That would have been easily tops in the league by a margin of over 200 yards.

Elliott continues his dominance in year 3. I wish he was in a higher powered offense. There is no reason this guy shouldn't be mentioned alongside Todd Gurley. I remember the debates about who was better, the answer is still Elliott. If the passing game were to match his running (and coaches used him consistently), I still think he would be an automatic 2000 yard a year back.

Was still the right choice over Jalen Ramsey, but would be more so if this offense worked around his talents.

he was star the day he was drafted, not his Fault RG screwed him last year and this year the coaches forgot to use him like a star..nothings changed..he was worthy of his 4th overall pick..

I question the judgment of anyone that has doubted Zeke. He is and has clearly been a stud since day 1.

He is a bit of a slow starter early in the season. Zeke is a volume runner.

I envision him like a boxer who throws a lot of body shots. In the early rounds it doesn’t appear to do much. But towards the end of the fight, he is still
Going strong and the opponent has no gas left in the tank. That’s when Zeke then throws the knockout punches.

Great to see Zeke improve his play from 2017. He is looking like a generational type of talent this year.

All Zeke needs to do is be consistent at this point.

He has more yards per game than the following running backs through their first three years.

Todd Gurley
Adrian Peterson
Barry Sanders
Emmitt Smith
LaDanian Tomlinson

In 15 less games he has almost as many rushing yards and touchdowns as Gurley did in his first three seasons.

There is a stupid trend on this forum where people freak out way to quickly.

LVE wasn't all world against the 49ers so he's Bobby Carpenter and a bust.

Chido had miraculous completions against him against the Lions and now he's horrible.

Zeke hasn't been incredible for a couple games and now he's average.

It's just how this forum works.

Agree about the targeting of Chido. Those passes were perfect passes and great catches. How many times is that going to happen? His coverage was very good and if that forces QB's to have to be perfect to beat him, I'll take those odds any day.

Did people really complain about Chido? Those catches on him were like all-world type catches and he's been solid all season long.

Zeke is the best RB in the game and after yesterday, I no longer think it's close.
His best asset is going to be Dak, still. Dak is still going to have to do what he did yesterday. Zeke can still beat a defense keyed on stopping him but our PA is going to have to be working. Can we stop going empty backfield? Every pass needs to have some sort of PA so we can force those safety's to make mistakes. Even if we don't get Zeke the ball, he still has to be involved in 95% of the time.

I don’t think many doubted Zeke is a great player. I think what people started doubting was whether or not it was going to be prudent to resign him to a large long term deal.

On LVE there were comparisons to Bobby before the draft.

Vander Trash and Vander Carpenter were spit out before he ever put on pads.

A big reason for the Ram's success is Gurley , who Elliott is just as good as if not better...........................And how well are the Steelers doing without Bell ?

If Zeke leads the league in rushing again and continues to do in the passing game what he did yesterday , how do you not sign him ?

I understand. Zeke is currently on pace to rush the ball 292 times. He is averaging 5.8 yards per carry. If he keeps that pace up, he will have almost 1700 yards in less than 300 carries. If he were averaging the 4.1 yards he was in 2017, he would need to rush the ball over 120 more times in order to gain the same amount of yards. That is a lot of saved wear and tear on his body, by rushing more efficiently.

That's the improvement I argued all off season that I wanted to see. Not sure why it had to be an argument because it should be obvious Zeke is too talented to be producing at a 4.1 ypc rate. That is Joseph Randle territory, like it or not. The team has been accustomed to getting around 4.6 yards per carry and Zeke was brought in to improve upon that, not to go down from that. He did outperform 4.6 as a rookie and is doing it now. But bringing this up came with a bunch of Dak sucks, the boxes are stacked excuses instead of acknowledgement Zeke needed to improve from his performance last year. He's proving even though the boxes are stacked and Dak still sucks, he can outproduce 4.1 ypc.

I said they would need to incorporate him more into the passing game to achieve more success this year.

I'm happy to know someone on that staff was on the same wavelength.
