Elliott solidifying himself as star player

A big reason for the Ram's success is Gurley , who Elliott is just as good as if not better...........................And how well are the Steelers doing without Bell ?

If Zeke leads the league in rushing again and continues to do in the passing game what he did yesterday , how do you not sign him ?

Of course I would agree but every time he has multiple games where his production is lower than normal, those doubts are going to creep back in for the pessimists. That’s just how it goes.

We finally got him going in the passing game. I'm stoked about the gameplan where Zeke is a force catching the ball.

There is a stupid trend on this forum where people freak out way to quickly.

LVE wasn't all world against the 49ers so he's Bobby Carpenter and a bust.

Chido had miraculous completions against him against the Lions and now he's horrible.

Zeke hasn't been incredible for a couple games and now he's average.

It's just how this forum works.

Exactly. Way too many comments are knee jerk reactions, and extreme reactions.

I think his lack of production is based more upon stupid play-calling than his play.......................

I don’t think many doubted Zeke is a great player. I think what people started doubting was whether or not it was going to be prudent to resign him to a large long term deal.
Cowboys fans are extremists and get mad if you say there’s other players better than their favorite player. Zeke is a great player I just think there’s one or two RBs better than him currently.

On LVE there were comparisons to Bobby before the draft.

Vander Trash and Vander Carpenter were spit out before he ever put on pads.

Those pre draft comparisons were not made by knowledgeable or fair minded people. Even if a reasonable person has doubts, he is willing to withhold judgement until he sees things play out. Unreasonable people feel the need to make these kinds of comparisons before knowing any of the NFL story with the player, which any reasonable person understands leads to bad judgements.

And what really was the basis for the Bobby Carpenter comparison? They were both first round picks, and had white skin? What else ...?

They are both LBs is probably the main reason for comparison.

I usually don’t judge rookie players because they’re too young.

Hell, I liked LVE pre draft but I still had my reservations on how fast he would be acclimated to the NFL. So far he has exceeded my expectations of him in year 1.

There was some tweet out there that both Carpenter/LVE had similar height/weight/stats at the combine.

Think that was the thing that got more people comparing the two guys.

It's not just this forum, it's the internet in general. I firmly believe the internet was only created for 3 things, Hot Takes, Cat Pictures and Sex, in way too many different forms and definitions. You really have to be careful what you type into a search bar.

Zeke has a pretty good argument as the top guy, especially if he continues to catch passes like he did yesterday.

My thing is that I don't think he's pumped up every week. Some weeks he looks flat. I think he was embarrassed in Seattle and took the loss personally. Yesterday he came out like a ball of fire. This offense goes as he goes.

That's not one iota more logical. By that logic (or lack thereof), Sean Lee is comparable to Bobby Carpenter, and had we drafted Bobby Wilson or Luke Keukely a few years back would they have been comparable to Bobby Carpenter too.

Both LBs taken in the first round. There are a lot of expectations for first round picks.

For some reason some cowboy fans don’t get that. They have same expectations for Zeke (top 5 pick) as Dak or other late round picks.

I saw a lot of doubters when it came to Ezekiel Elliott over the last year or so (mostly Dak apologist) but he continues to show that he is not only the best player on this team but likely one of the best players in the league.

Last year missing 6 games due to suspension, he was 10th in the league in rushing. That's incredible. He was on pace for 1572 in a year that people suggested he wasn't running very well. That would have been easily tops in the league by a margin of over 200 yards.

Elliott continues his dominance in year 3. I wish he was in a higher powered offense. There is no reason this guy shouldn't be mentioned alongside Todd Gurley. I remember the debates about who was better, the answer is still Elliott. If the passing game were to match his running (and coaches used him consistently), I still think he would be an automatic 2000 yard a year back.

Was still the right choice over Jalen Ramsey, but would be more so if this offense worked around his talents.

#2016, 2018 MVP

If he only had a real QB. It's the reverse of what we said when Romo was playing, if he only had a real RB we could do great things.

Lol you forgot one.

Dak has one good game against a 1-2 lions team and now he's a franchise qb

Yeah I can’t forget about his brain farts and mistakes. Stepping out of bounds and dropping passes and the fumble. Dominating a terrible Lions D doesn’t make up for basically losing a game.

I agree he looks very flat some games. Like he’s not totally into it. It seems like Dez was the only offensive player to get guys fired up.

I also agree he took last weeks loss personally since he said it was his fault and came out to prove it this week.

Everyone is going to have a different opinion who’s the best. I put him in my top 3 at the moment.

That's great news then because Dorance Armstrong has similar height/weight stats as Demarcus Ware!

Going back to his rookie year people were saying to draft his replacement after the first contract.

I'm happy we have a top 3 rb. I'd rather have a top 3 QB though.
