Some fans want Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott traded after he tweeted 'LETS GO BLUES' during Stars' Game 7 loss

When it comes to football, Ezekiel Elliott has been saying all the right things.

Before he was selected fourth overall by the Cowboys in the 2016 NFL draft on April 28, Elliott said Dallas has "the best offensive line in football" and that it would be "an honor" to run behind it.

"You've got some vets around you that you can learn a lot from. You can learn a lot from [Tony] Romo. You can learn a lot from Jason Witten. You can learn a lot from Dez [Bryant]," Elliott said April 27 in Chicago. "I think it would be a good situation for me. I could go in there and I can learn and I can develop."

And since his arrival to the Dallas-Fort Worth area? He's spoken fondly of the fan base, said wearing Emmitt Smith's No. 22 jersey "would've been kind of disrespectful" and is not shying away from lofty expectations.

I'm a HUGE Stars fan, but I have no issue with this. At some point, he might start rooting for the Stars too, but I wouldn't blame him for one second to always keep the Blues as his #1 team. Hell, that's what I would do. I've lived in the NYC area for over 11 years, and my Texas teams are and will always be my first teams.

This is beyond rediculous. Do you think someone in Cleveland would tell Lebron "I hope you tear both knees in camp" when he supports the Dallas Cowboys as opposed to the Browns. This is completely rediculous. Most of the fans who got angry are just butt hurt that they drafted a RB with the fourth pick as opposed to whoever they wanted.

As a Cowboys fan, one can do to be a trifle more graceful. Elliot isn't under contract to rout for the Stars. I'm a Blues fan also, I used to watch Gary Unger play. I don't think Elliot was being spiteful but more or less expressing his freedom.

you have forgotten the golden rule about expressing one's freedom in 2016 in that said expression must conform to the majority or else you are ripped. Then again, no matter what you write or say, someone somewhere will be offended.
