How much though can you blame the guy. Not easy to at one point be such a part of "Americas Team", then to be tossed aside. I know it' a business but you can' blame the guy for being booted, so to speak from the Boys.

I didn't say I hate him, just that he's getting up there

I'll give you one of my favorite quotes from Richard Nixon during an interview with Barbara Walters many years after his presidency...

Walters: Mr. President, why do you hate the press (me) so much?
Nixon: Oh I don't hate you Barbara. In order to truly hate someone, you must first respect them...

I agree with Rack on this one.

If I am Bill Parcells I send Ellis and the team a message and give him the Marcellus Wiley treatment. In preseason, I play him third string. During the season I give every other guy on the depth chart the snaps and unless all of the are Scott Fujitas, Ellis rides the pine.

Ellis was more than happy being the best player on some downright horrible teams during the Campo years and now that he has a chance to be a part of some team succes he turns his nose.

I not for one second believe he wants the money more than he wants the team to cater to his needs and switch to the 4-3 again.

This should be a lesson as to why the tabloid journalism of the Dallas media is bad BS. JJT pimped Ellis for years on how he was a class and team guy when in fact he is more TO than TO.

that's pretty much how I'm feeling, I once had great respect for him, and his actions are kinda stabbing me in the back in a ways because he's so far from the player and person I once had so much respect for, so I'm pretty pissed

Reralistically, what do you guys think his trade value is? MAybe if someone is in diar need we could get 2nd, chances are a 3rd or maybe a younger end.

Probably a 4th would be my guess.

My hope is they could trade him for a younger, more unproven guy who has potentail to grow into and is perhaps too small to be an everydown player in the 4-3. I brought up Bobby McCrary for the Jags. Antwan Peek has also been mentioned. I would take both. The drop off between what they produced last year and what Greg produced last year is not dramatic at all, and they have far more upside to grow into.

Well, i guess "team player" doesn't apply here. You know
in the real world, there's always somebody coming up that
can take your job. Now, maybe i'm buying into what Bill is selling,
but it seems to me he'll prolong his career, possibly.

Geez Greg. We get it. You ain't happy. Just play hard, make others want you bad and cash your checks and we'll trade ya when we can.

But above all else, SHUT UP!

I have lost a lot of respect for the guy now. And I was a big Ellis fan.

Due to the ongoing, and no doubt more forthcoming, complaints by Ellis to the media, it's time to see what we can get for him. I don't think we'll get much for him at this point in his career, but I see him becoming more of a detriment to the team as we go along, IMO. While Ellis may provide us with some degree of a pass rush, I don't see his loss as being something we can't overcome, especially since we have some young DL who should help keep us going after he's gone.

I don't see where he is coming from at all... He has never been anything more than an average 4-3 DE. A HOF coach tells him he feels he could excel and really help the team as a 3-4 lb, but he doesn't think so... The guy is an idiot... Never lived up to his pick and never will... What a waste...

we need to have a cage match between canty and ellis, so canty can dominate his life and send him packing.

I'm thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis close to officially changing my position. After years of supporting Ellis and passing on Moss, the time has arrived that I can no longer defend the decision we made to draft Ellis over Moss.

BP needs to have another chat with GE. Tell him every syllable he speaks to the media is one less snap he'll be getting. And if doesn't shut up soon we'll keep him but he won't be dressing on Sunday's. Enough is freakin' enough. If someone offers a 3rd fine give him a bus token and a kick in the ***. If not and he continues I say bury his beotch *** on the bench. See what kind of offers he gets when we cut him next year and he's been inactive for a year at age 32.

It was much more fun a few months ago when I put up with abuse from everyone because I was revolted by Ellis' whining attitude.

Now everyone is getting in on the act.

We couldn't help it, Ellis himself picked us up one by one and threw us on the bandwagon.
