I don't think he has the highest ceiling (McMillan) but I can't see him becoming a bust. He will be on par with Jaxon Smith-Njigba or maybe Amon-Ra St. Brown. IMO he's too polished to become a bust.

Agree that Egbuka is a safe prospect, but I would say that Tet is super safe too. He's put in 2 ultra-productive seasons, and is 6'5" with the quickness of a power forward in the paint. I'm not sold on him as a deep threat - would love to see some testing numbers showing big-time juice - but he's 100% NFL ready as a possession receiver. This guy has averaged 100 yards/game for 25 games... he's ready to move up a grade.

Luther Burden has a pretty straightforward path to succeed as well. He's got 4.4 speed and Ferrari agility to work the short routes, and great ball skills to make plays downfield. The only red flag I'd ding him on is relatively poor production this year, but he's got an alibi with bad QB play. I'd love to see some sabermetrics on his separation. Otherwise, I think he's a Brandin Cooks, Jeremy Maclin type of player. Small guy with 3-level potential.

I like Egbuka he just looks like a linear athlete to me and you never really see him when down the field that much.

He’s like a faster JSN that doesn’t have the same short area quickness IMO. I’d 100% draft him with our 2nd pick.

If you can tell me he is available in rd 2, I'm interested, but not as a 1st rd prospect. He is a high floor player with limited upside.

LOL.....pretty huge drop-off after Burden and Tmac. Exactly why I would not pass on either one.......even if Jeanty is still on board. Hunter and Graham are the only two players I'm drafting ahead of them.

I will also include Carter.

He is good. He looks like would be solid. I think he would be an excellent pick.

I’d be very wary of Burden. I think he’s super raw as a WR. He’s a playmaker more than he is a polished reciever. He reminds me a lot of Kadarius Toney.

Tet McMillion would be nice to add as a bookend with CeeDee.

One hybrid guy I like a lot in maybe the 3rd-4th round is SMU’s Brashard Smith. Came in as a WR at the Univ. of Miami and then transferred to SMU and balled-out as a RB. I can easily see him as a slot/Deebo guy.

Go watch all of Burdens targets from 23’ on youtube. I felt the same way as you and after watching that feeling like he’s a legit top 15 player.

Are you talking about this video?

Here’s what I see:
  • An inordinate amount of bubble and jet screen passes which speaks to the point of him being more of a weapon than a polished receiver. That could be a product of having a middling QB (see below).
  • Bad QB play didn’t help him.
  • Very good YAC guy that’s not afraid of contact and will fight for extra yards.
  • Inconsistent hands; some nice contested grabs/bad drops
  • Not a precision route runner; on a lot of the breaking routes I saw him lose balance and/or round them out.
To me, in most drafts I’d be looking at him as a late 1st/early 2nd round guy. Picking him in the Top 12-13 is a bit rich for my blood.

Yea, the route running is something that definitely needs some refinement but he’s a guy in year 1 that can handle a lot of the short and quick hitter that Lamb runs and give you a YAC demon.

He can win at all 3 levels and is arguably the most explosive WR in the class which you just can’t teach.

I think the QB play takes a toll on evaluating bc there are so many bad balls and the route tree is probably limited bc the QB is awful. On the flip side - he caught a lot of bad balls so his body control and catch radius is impressive for his size.

Keep in mind we’re evaluating him for this draft only…in which case he’s an easy 1st rounder for me.

he is my favorite receiver in the draft.
if they go wr...i'd love this pick.
i also like those 2 oregon kids.

I really love the idea of trading back in the first and picking Emeka Egbuka. He has good speed and runs good routes and would instantly be the 2nd best WR on the team. I just don't think the value at 14 is any better than it is at 20ish. Assuming anyone is willing to move up when Dallas is on the clock.
