They'd be foolish to leave this guy alone on an island vs Connor Barwin protecting your starting QB in a game that doesn't count.
He isn't terrible but he isn't great. I feel Witten will spend some time there and leave Free by himself.......oh my we better hope Romo don't play

I was surprised at how big he was standing in the huddle, he towers at 6'7" and nearly 330,, Big Boy.
Not saying size is everything, but he does have that, and did pretty well,, I was watching him closely once Tyron went out.
I imagine he can power on running plays, need to feed him help this week on passing plays.
Not a big deal, Tyron will be rested and ready by the playoffs, and we get a good look at Cleary.

I have not had a chance to watch the game.
How did he do on any speed rushes?

If you want your QB to stay upright you will have Zeke or a TE help out the left side

He is the main reason neither Dak or Tony will play long if at all.

For that matter, anyone wanting Tony to get significant playing time (Half) with Cleary at LT is insane. Mediots ("Radio Boy" Steve Dennis) just need to shut up about it.

Very limited sample size, hard to evaluate 15 snaps, but I will say from what I took from that game, he seemed to hold is own with size alone.
Believe me,,, we will overload to protect Dak against Philly,,, so his performance will be even harder to evaluate.
At least he is huge,, that's what his best asset is at this point.

With TSmith out, Cleary played for 15 snaps. BTB article mentioned he played decently but not much details at all - http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2016...ficient-devastation-of-the-lions-dak-prescott

I think there was mention of having a TE helping a bit?
Anyone noticed much?
How does he compare with Green?
There were 2 plays where the left him on his own with no help is a passing situation. They ran the ball on most of the snaps he played.

12:18 remaining Q4, pass deep right to D.Bryant, TD
Pass rusher bull rushed then tried outside move but ball was already gone.

6:40 remaining Q4, pass incomplete deep left to D.Bryant
Pass rusher did try a true outside pass rush.

He looked OK. He is big and strong. There were not enough opportunities to judge his athleticism.

Yeah I bought he looked fine, and was going up mostly against Ansah IIRC from the broadcast angle.

I was expecting him to be terrible.

Ok, how about this hypothetical. Let's say Cleary gets abused all day and gets Sanchez knocked out of the game. Do you A) bring in Tony B) bring in Beasley?

I say bring in Beasley and have him hand off every play.

Just make McFadden the QB. Then he can run it or hand off to Zeke. It would be the Cowboys wildcat package.
