Emmitt is on Cowherd and hammering the 'Boys!

-Will win seven games....maybe
-Roy W is good but lazy
-Coach/team have not changed
-No ability to stretch the defense
-Will have to play ball control

Short conversation, but he didn't paint a pretty picture, for what ever that's worth.

Is it as ugly as his inability to express himself properly? I love emmitt for obvious reasons, but he has easily become one of my least favorite 90s cowboys. I think it all started with the "diamonds among trash" comment.

He debacled his chance.

What was Cowherd's response? Did he axe Emmitt any questions?

I love him, but he really needs to stay away from interviews and TV in the future!

I agree 100%. I was as big an Emmitt fan as you would've found back in the day.

But now he nauseates me. I heard the interview...

Colin: "What is a realistic expectation for the Cowboys this year."

Emmitt: "Seven wins, maybe."

later Colin asked him if he thought RW11 could be a #1, and Emmitt adamantly stated "NO. I never have either."

Emmitt really does not want the Boys to be on top again since he wants HIS period to be the best and no competition. I had not realized he was so petty.

Emmitt same the same garbage before the 13-3 season. He has not once been optimistic about this team since he became a commentator.

Ignore him.

Emmitt was an absolute gentleman when I met him.

I disagree with some of his opinions but then we're all entitled to our opinions, so the fact that he doesn't rate a Cowboys team which has yet to prove anything doesn't diminish his standing as a Cowboys legend in the least.

did the Giants have anyone to stretch the field?

did the Steelers have anyone to stretch the field?

Seems like to me the teams with the "stretch the field" options on offense (Pats/Cards)....lost the last 2!

Did the Pats have anyone to stretch the field when they won 3 SBs?

Again the Pats beat the Rams, Panthers and Eagles.....and guess what, all 3 of those teams had Holt, Faulk, Bruce, Owens, Westbrook, Steve Smith etc....guys that can stretch the field.

And for that matter....who was stretching the field for the 90s boyz?

This edition of the Cowboys have to prove they can play TOUGH football...can appreciate TOUGH wins....can appreciate winning 20 - 13....or 17 - 14.

I agree this outfit has not shown they can do it....but lets not act like the teams with Fitzgerald, Steve Smith, TO, Torry Holt have won it

It's crazy, but having heard Emmitt speak, these might as well be direct quotes.
