Airing on NFL Network... My all time favorite Cowboys player. The farce that the OL made him still irks me. Along with the BS that Sanders was better. Sanders was more flashy but I would take #22 every day of the week.

Ah... the Barry-Emmitt debate always got ugly. I once commented on here that Sanders
had more negative play yardage than any RB in history. Someone tried to tell me that Stat
doesn't exist... at all... for anybody. As if, the RB would never be penalized statistically
for negative yardage... smh.

Barry was great... the human joystick. But I'd take Emmitt every time over him.

Not only did that person try to tell you the stat doesn’t exist, they also claimed Emmitt Smith would hold that record by a large margin if it were to exist. Although multiple people provided information to the contrary, he still believes the stat is impossible to calculate. It was super krazy reading that thread.

Emmitt didn’t NEED to be like Barry playing behind the line that he did. In fact that style would have been counterproductive as the holes were there and there was no need to stop, start, stop, start.

But, Barry probably still makes the HOF playing for Dallas during the years that Smith did. Does Emmitt make the HOF playing for Detroit during the years that Barry did? That I’m not so sure of. At the end of the day Barry would gladly trade the highlights in for the rings and records that Emmitt has. And I know that because Barry personally told me that about 13 years ago.
