Emmitt unveils who is introducing him to the hall of fame

Oh God NO!!!!!!

20 minutes of "smack, um, ah, smack, ah, smack, Emmitt, ah, smack, smack, um, is the greatest, um, smack, ah, running, ah, back, smack, in, um, smack, NFL, smack, um, history, smack..."

Why isn't it Moose? He at least is a good public speaker and is certainly deserving of the honor. I think it would have been more fitting and a heck of a lot more enjoyable for the audience for Johnston to introduce Emmitt.

Daryl Johnston would have been a perfect choice as presenter. However, I feel that Emmitt Smith has always felt an intense sense of personal gratitude towards Jerry Jones for his Dallas Cowboys career. This may be his way of returning the honor in kind.

Indeed. I don't understand bellyaching over this. It is obvious that past and present players love and respect Jerry no matter what some fans think.

Just shows the tight relationship Jerry forged with guys like Emmitt and Irvin. Those who have claimed players do not want to come here and play for Jerry need to wake up

Fitting choice. The biggest ego in Cowboys' history introducing the 2nd biggest ego.

Tony Dorsett is already in the Hall, Jerry did not induct him. :laugh1:

Jerry told Moose that if he ever wanted to grace the Ring of Honor, he'd better decline Emmitt's invitation to present him at the HOF.

That's my take on it at least.

:laugh2:

It should have been Moose.

For those of you who don't know who Moose is it's Daryl Johnston. Sorry. Had to do it.

I totally agree! He lead him through all those holes to daylight, he should lead him into the Hall. Darn it, Emmitt!

Exactly right. Should have been MOOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!

I think Emmitt just assured his lifetime employment with the Dallas Cowboys.

Good economic move, Emmitt, though Aikman or Jimma would have been a slightly betta choices.

since it hasn't already been said in the thread, and I like being the bearer of rare hot sports opinions, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MOOSE.......

Jerry Jones didn't tweet. But he did issue a statement to confirm the Emmitt Smith tweet that he will introduce the Cowboys running back at his Hall of Fame ceremony.

"Emmitt Smith's induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame is truly special,'' Jones said. "It is an honor that I share with Dallas Cowboys fans everywhere

Say, is he related to Thomas or Julius Jones?
