Uh, the 14 threads weren't about hate.HummerMan said:lol, wow, 14 - 1, that is amazing... i guess people loved to hate quincy, as they still do... i really hope emmitt tears up the giants defense, for the good of the cardinals and the good of the cowboys it'll be like the good old days, just, with him wearing arizona red

One of the greatest players ever to play for the Cowboys is having a good year, is nearing a milestone that would have once been thought unreachable, and with the fans merits only 1 thread in the NFL Zone here. Makes no difference that he exuded class and dignity and is probably one of the most respected players in NFL History.
10 threads about what the Jets backup QB is doing or could do if still here. 5 threads got merged into 1 or it would be more.
There aren't enough adjectives to describe how stupid this phenomenon is. It just defies logic.
I'd sticky this thread just so it has a longer life but why bother.

Henson is a DALLAS COWBOY. Whether you realize it or not there is a difference.Nors said:Hey - the QB's get all the talk. Its obviously a very hot topic. How often do you post on Henson? PHIN - Dude is so not ready to play its laughable - but thats what people talk about.
Yes - I think Carter has a claim on his dismissal. The Cowboys will lose this as their side of the story is BS. I'm not going to homer the organization.
I am saddened to see Emmitt follow in the footsteps of Dorsett and pad another 600 yards in another uniform. I think I'm not alone, he was a great RB for us in the 1990's. Him hanging on in 2004 in the desert running for the Cradinals is not someting I'm watching.
Garbage comment - He already was called by Roy on that issue.
Having a great year. Too bad Parcells didn't realize he'd be more valuable to this team that Hambrick was or EG is.Nors said:Great Career. Too bad he couldn't walk away a Cowboy.

BTW Mr. Parcells, Emmitt was one of the best blocking RBs ever to play.

You claim YPC doesn't matter then post a YPC better than EGs to try and prove your point?Nors said:You realize Emmitt YPC last year was 2.8 and his great year NOW is only 3.7 YPC?
Wow - Tham is busting at 4.8 YPC in the same offense. I'm starting to think our Oline really sucks?

Wanna compare yards and scores Emmitt to EG?
Ah spin control. That didn't take long. I was off by a few words on your answer, but not by much.Nors said:You posted GREAT EMMITT season, not me.
He's on his victory lap - hats off and see you in the Ring of Honor.
He was a warrior - too bad he didn't retire a COWBOY.

I'd take Emmitt over Eddie any day of the week and twice on games days. There's a reason why he has the records he does and someone with the physical tools Eddie has is an average RB and has been for a long, long time.
Greatness is about heart which means over achieving. Emmitt still has it and does that.
Eddie has never sniffed it.
I wish he had played his whole career in Dallas too. Unfortunately it can't work that way.joseephuss said:Well said.
I wish Emmitt would have been willing to accept less money to stay in Dallas. Unfortunately he didn't, but he should be able to do what he wants and feels is good forhim. I wish him well and many yards in Arizona. It kind of sucked to see him struggle so poorly last year and is nice to see him bounce back to some decent numbers this year.
Last year was great in that it finally made clear that THam could not be a permanent starter in this league. Something I already knew. Too bad he is not around to be a back up because he is pretty good in that capacity and is showing that again this year. With him, it is all about his attitude. He could not accept the fact that he is just a back up. Maybe he has finally learned that in Arizona.
