Except the Cowboys had multiple ways to secure the division...and failed each time. Not even a touchdown against an injury-riddled team with practice squad members on it.
It is what it is. Like I said, I think Dak is good enough and can get the job done, but only if he's not asking for too much because of his performance in key situations.

If you'd asked me after the first half of the season, I'd have said "SIGN HIM."

I want him to be a Cowboy for a long time, but not for 20% of the cap.... the team needs too much at other spots for that.

Poor us. We have to watch and root for this train wreck. The NFL only allows him to spend so much money on players. Dak knows this and his agent is very aware of there salary cap. He will look to eat up as much as he can. Dak will let his agent do this. He said he is actively involved in the negotiations. If he isn’t careful then there won’t be a Cooper to throw it to. But at that point he is already paid so he won’t care.

JJ (along with the other 31 owners) is “the NFL”. There are no external forces at play here...the multi billionaire owners negotiated to keep as much revenue for themselves as they possibly could via the CBA. Nobody is forcing Jerry to be frugal, he negotiated that constraint for his personal benefit. I’m at the point that I want the players to get every cent that they can get. The poor owners will somehow survive. It won’t happen, but I’d love to see the players take the owners to the cleaners in the next CBA.

Thanks for telling me how I would react. Oh wait... you don't know me...and since I've been a Dak supporter, I take offense at your assumption.

I would have have criticized him if he was injured and didn't play. Sure, many others would have. If it was a finger, yeah I'd criticize. But shoulder? Come on. Dude's been solid as far as playing and not getting injured. This is why I can't stand talking about things here at times... Some people can't grasp that it's not either/or. You can support a player and believe in him but criticize him. You can not believe a player has what it takes but cheer him on to prove you wrong.

You don't have to be RAH RAH every second and fall to pieces any time someone says anything remotely negative about a player.

I certainly wouldn't have. The guy has been freaking SOLID. With the amount of hits he'd taken up to that point, it's surprising he didn't miss any time...some of those hits were nasty.

Emotional extortion at his JJ's age is elder abuse. As much crap as he's sold to the fans over the years I'm sure there are fans that have a better case.
