Entire Giant Loss Comes Down to the Dak-Dez connection

I agree with you. But sometimes, when you have the best offensive line in football and the league's leading rusher, it's time to impose your will. The Cowboys let the Giants dictate what they were doing. I think a run-heavy gameplan (25 carries for Zeke, 10 or more for Alfred Morris) would have worn New York's front seven down and slowed the pass rush.
You should see how many carries Zeke had

Wish we ran a West Coast offense tbh
Wish we'd implement the best parts of it...........the stack sets, the rub routes etc etc. Is it possible some of our receivers simply cannot remember the complexities of it?

It actually doesn't.....

Every OL except #70 had multiple missed blocks.....

Our WR were blanketed for entire game minus 1 play......

We ran a terrible game plan......where were the screens? the quick slants (oh yeah Dez fumbled one).....

We took Zeke out on fir the most part on 3rd downs.....

Their punting coupled with our stupid penalties killed field position....

Again, we missed so many blocks on 2nd/3rd down.....completely killed.......

Stacked box of 8 with 2 players shooting same gap with stunts on 3rd & long--we literally didn't have an answer[see Romo get killed on these plays]....

I was also waiting for some screen passes. That's what slowed the Steelers pass rush down back in November. After Zeke took one 83 yards to the house I recall Prescott having much more time.

There are other receivers on the team not named Dez. What were their stats?

When Dak threw to other receivers here were the numbers:
16-29 155 yards...w/1TD and 0 INT

Not great but those would have been winning numbers in the game last night.

The Giant CB had a hell of a game and Dez didn't compensate for the slippery field. But it's just one game.

It's literally the most QB friendly system there is. Guys get designed open. We have one of the greatest weapons to run screens all day. Instead we stick with the same bootlegs and 15 yard dig routes that only work if the corner sucks.

I think most would agree but in order to do that you have to convert 3rd downs and at least half of them are going to come through the air. We didn't convert them so you don't get another set of downs to run the ball again

The loss largely comes down to the second week in a row of bizarre, puzzling playcalling.

It's not bizarre or puzzling Garrett n Linehan are simply throwing Dak under the bus he's been driving. Obviously they are looking for any excuse to put Romo on the field.

Except in the last 4 games when it wasn't and Dez had 350 yards and 4 TDs

Another Dezerter looking for attention

"I'm a Dezerter"?

What a funny, fragile thing you are.

Where have I attributed specific blame? I think the biggest issue was the super play of the Giant's Janoris Jenkins.

After that the blame gets distributed to Dez, Dak's accuracy and decision-making and the weather.

Dez may have been in New Jersey, but his head was back in Dallas with his home boy Lucky. LOL

but it can "devolve" into what Wentz was throwing if not careful also..........there is a happy medium

It WAS ugly.

Dak also fumbled again and got bailed out by Doug Free. Also came inches from having a pick six too.
Things were just out of synch.
It happens. Most level heads understand this. Brees, Brady, Montana, ..certainly Romo--anyone and everyone has a had stinkers because, well, they're human.
People are a bit concerned because they don't want most of the Minnesota game and all of the Giants games to turn into the new reality.
I doubt it will.

Last night was the return of the 2010-13 Jason Garrett playbook. This offense is built on running the ball. Last night we put everything on Dak on a night he was clearly struggling.

So I agree, the coaches need to take some blame, too.

We actually don't know that. A number of people (both pro DP and pro TR) already said DP was audibling more than usual. I noticed the same thing when I was watching it. Whether it's true or not I am not sure, but someone who has all-22 can confirm or deny that.

For all we know DP changed all or most of the plays at the LOS which made us really ineffective, something we haven't generally been all year.

I think you're right, I heard a lot of "kill kill" from Dak now that you mention it. If so, it means the Giants did a great job disguising their defense and making Prescott finally look like a rookie.

It could also be a blessing in the sense Dak is smart and he'll use this as a learning experience.

He had 24. No other back had one, and Dak attempted 40 passes (including sacks). I'm just saying the Cowboys should have run the ball more than they threw it.

So, we should have run more on third-and-long? Not passed the ball four times after getting it with 32 seconds before halftime? Down by 3, less than a minute left, 97 yards to go -- time to pound the ball?

Elliott had MORE carries in the first three quarters than he had all season. The only reason we ended up with so many passes is because we were in the two-minute (or four-minute) offense at the end of both halves, desperately trying to score, and we didn't have the luxury of running out the clock with the lead, like we often have.

You're right. Maybe I'm trying too hard to forget what happened in this game. I was just remembering some 3rd and short situations where the Cowboys threw the ball and I was going crazy in front of the TV.

 thank you! spoken like a true realist, pragmatist or whatever ist. common sensical. give it time. like the way you think.

believe in Dakota Rayne! Don't lose faith yet. Don't be fickle and weak. If you're losing your faith in the kid after one loss your foundation is made of egg shells.

This offense is more crisp when Dez was out of the lineup.

very true. it seems that way. crazy. u would think the opposite would happen. Dak believes maybe to a fault that he is the best player on the field. He isn't playing like it lately and I hate that.
