Has everyone forgot that? Even before the benching, we had enuff points to win if our D had done it's job. What the heck happened to the New Doomsday? Sheesh, we stunk the other night.:bang2:

Didn't the Cowboys have 7 points before the benching? That's rarely enough to win, much less in a game you're trailing 12-7 at the time.

It may be unrealistic on my part but I expect this defense to improve dramatically over the next several weeks. I'd also be curious to see what Carpenter can do as a starter.

I can say that by not scoring more points and turnovers kept putting the D in a bad spot. They were not overly good, but not terrible.

I agree the defense did not play well. The Giants pretty much moved the ball at will on two big second half drives.

from my vantage point this is dissapointing, but also clear to me. Going against this OL in practice made the entire organization and it's players get a false impression about are D.

We have a ton of first round picks on D. We have free agents that received double digit signing bonuses on D. We have top 10 picks on D. Are Head Coach is a defensive guy. So why do we come up so small. It is coaching mostly, and slightly overated.

I will never understand why you spend top 10 picks or bring in high priced free agents...then protect them with this read and react crap. This leads to a defense that plays on their heels and thus a defense that plays without the speed necessary to be disruptive. It rarley shows up against bad teams...but good teams absoutlely will expose this bland brand of football. Eli Mannning, Donavan McNabb and Leftwich toyed with our D. Young, Brunell and Carr did not. Why, the first 3 were good teams...the latter were bad teams. We do not consitetnly beat good teams and never will until are defensive philosphy becomes more agressive

But the Giants have an excellent offense and can move the ball on anyone. Bottom line is you have to score and not give the Giants additional opportunities.

They got 7 points because of turnover-related field position, scored 9 points on defense, and another 7 points because of a turnover on downs that should have been made. This is 23 points; more than what we scored in total. They scored 20 points on our defense, but 7 of these were avoidable if TO just hangs on to a 2 yard pass.

We technically had 7 points off turnovers, but we had to move 80 yards to capitalize on it. We had another turnover set us up with 1st and goal to go at the 5 yard line and we came away with 0 points. Inexcusable!

the Giants don't have any more weapons than we have. The bottom line is good teams do not allow us to use our weapons. The Eagles and Giants KNOW that if you do not disrupt Bledose he can make plays. Why we contine to play bend but don't break defense because we are scared to give up the big play is just crazy. Especially when we are giving up the big play anyway. We need to make life for the opposition's QB as hellish as they make it for our QB

5 Turnovers.. 4 INT and turn over on downs.. 1 int returned for a td and 1 safety. Add it up, its 4 extra drives that the giants got, a couple deep in our own terrority. The D did not play horrible at all, they haven't all year. But its hard to maintain your energy level when you go out, shut down the other teams O in 3 downs,, and the very next play is a turnover putting you right back out there,, its hard to keep your energy level when you cause a turnover, deep in the other teams terrority and your O turns it right back over, Our O has had more to do with the problems on D than anything else.

well if other defenses are forcing TOs...we should force them right back! Pat Watkins drops an INT. Bradie James dropped an INT. Our defense has the kind of investment to make the same exact plays the best defenses in the NFL make

For the most part our D sucked. But let's not put much of the blame on them. Thank the Ref for their first TD. Romo for another two TD's. Bledsoe cost us at least one more.

I must be alone, but I think the defense played pretty well. If you take away the ref tackling Roy and all the times they got the ball at or near our redzone I don't think they moved all that well on us.

But were it not for Bledsoe, we could have had 10 or 14.

Our defense let us down in the third quarter. The drive after the Owens drop on 4th and 2 was crucial.

It was a team loss that just looked differently because of the QB dramatics.

the D is overrated... Spears and Canty are over their heads... Eliis is out of position... Fergy doesnt command a Dbl team on a regular basis let alone push the pocket!!! Roy and the rook are overconfident in pass coverage and take too many bad angles... Akin is almost laughable!
