so funny story we are doing open enrollment for our company healthcare and we switched brokers. I see this name and I'm like hmmm. Well I'm walking out of the office for a meeting and as I'm walking out he comes walking out of the bathroom.

I say to him I know who you are, I was a big fan of his and thought he reminded me of Jay.

Anyways cool little story

Didn't Jerry at the time say something like " we got our next Novacek" ? Or was that LaFleur I am thinking about?

Seriously, I shutter at the mentioning of some of these names. No disrespect to the players, but bad days. Bad days, indeed.

He was no Scott Galbraith. Oh, how I disliked Scott Galbraith. Can't believe he got a SB ring. Actually, so did Bjornson now that I think about it.

Bjornson got off to a decent start in Dallas. After backing up Novacek in 1995, he had 48 catches in 1996 and 47 in 1997. Those numbers are similar to what Novacek did in Dallas in most seasons and were second on the team each of those seasons. He fell apart after that.

I just spent the last 30 mins with him chatting it up

Really one of the good guys, He told me he is really good friends with JG and David was one of his business partners at one point and one of his best friends. As we were talking we discovered we were basically neighbors when I lived in Dallas.

Funny, I was saying we had high hopes until his injury, he is a huge huge Cowboys fan

Best part was he was all do we know each other? and I'm like we meet back in 95 at training Camp in Austin... He said wow you must be a huge Cowboys fan... Yessir I am

Some of the hate is ridiculous

Dude had skill, but a sad case of injuries derailing a career...

yea its LaFleur your thinking of. He was one Aikman worked out himself and told the team to get him.
LaFleur was really talented. He was just never, ever healthy if I remember correctly. They finally gave up on him.

His target to catch ratios were basically a match for Novacek. Bjornson had ankle problems from the onset, and had a hard time keeping weight on, which hurt his ability to block.
