This team doesn't need to trade for Haley, they have Ware and Spencer.

But your point is well taken, the most obvious one is Wade Phillips. Despite is football pedigree, couldn't hold Jimmy Johnson's jockstrap.

It's hard to see it this way on such a dismal day, but the team that lost 34-3 today is still a very good team, with mediocre to below-average coaching. What a waste it will be if we all wake up in 2015 without a Superbowl, knowing the kind of talent we had from 2007 onward.

wait what?

Jimmy got beat in Detroit in almost the exact same manner in 1991. Does that game not count? I am confused. This game and that game are almost identical.

And do you care to look up jimmy's last game in the nfl with tom coughlin standing across the field coaching?

We got beat today because our line was poor and we couldnt overcome that, it led to early mistakes and then those mistakes just started the train rolling downhill.

Jimmy johnson was the coach in 91 and we couldnt rush the passer or defend the pass because we didnt have the talent....he couldnt correct it during the season and it led directly to us getting overwhelmed in detroit in a loud rowdy dome on a sunday afternoon in the divisional round.

The team did its work and corrected the deficient area. I believe that is what this team will do. Our coaching is very good IMO, sometimes you just get beat.

Jimmy was mad and vowed that that would not happen again.

Let's see what Mr. Fix It will do.

He was right. Not that little details like that matter.
When you have a 31/32 chance of being right, odds are you're right pretty often.

Didn't you hear? The new theory is that we all knew back then that we were going to be a dynasty back in 91, even though everyone picked the Eagles/Niners/Skins to win the Super Bowl that year.

Agreed, its absurd. We will have a 30 year old QB, a 30+ year old oline, a 60 year old head coach. THIS ISNT 1991.

You're so worried. :bang2:

Do I need to remind you that we just got our ***** kicked by a 40 year old quarterback?

BTW Our line isn't that bad. Just one or two holes to plug. Free is a player.

We need a veteran WR. Cut RW and trade for Brandon Marshall or hell even Hines Ward eventhough that will never happen. I guarentee you if that fat **** named Pat Williams talked trash to Ward he'd have a pair of broken testicles.

Couldn't have said it better theebs! Before the threads about the 91' team, I had already thought of that scenario. We finished up the 91'-92' season at 11-5.

I'm already predicting a Cowboy's Super Bowl win next season. We are a good team that is only going to be better.

1989: 1- 15 Worst team in the league
1990: 7-9 Improving
1991: 11-5 Still improving / year before dynasty

2007: 13-3 Best record
2008: 9 - 7 Huge step BACKWARDS
2009: 11-5 Small step forward with 1 playoff win against a team who we matched up very well,

This was not 1991. The talent is there however we do not have a Jimmy Johnson to get the most out of our talent!!!
Wade is not getting the job done. Why can't people see this?????

I laughed at allens comments after the game he was saying how dallas needs a reggie bush type of weapon:confused: so he thinks felix jones and miles austin arent home run threats? reggie bush has one big game now all of a sudden we need a guy like him? felix and miles are two big play threats all season long and bush has one big game and now hes what we need.

wow, your M.I.A. during a great fun stretch of winning.

and now you show up mocking something that was meant for unity and you are happy we lost because somehow in your little world you feel you are right.

Absolutely sorry.

Bye bye to you dude.
You had to know all of these idiots would come out of the woodwork when that stinker of a game ended. Those people live on negativity and try to spread it to others. They don't want to be in misery alone.

I see zero correlation between the two teams. Look, there is to much turnover in this league from year to year. In 91 you didn't lose players in free agency. We were able to build on our core without the worry of losing anyone. Also other teams especially in the division will improve. The NFL is a year to year thing. I see no carry over from this season. Each season holds a life of it's own.

I don't know about that comparison, but I am not going to lie, I enjoyed this season and this team. They played with passion and played together.

They were beaten by a better team yesterday, but that does not mean that there is no room for improvement with this roster...

  • There was a good buzz about Robert Brewster prior to his peck injury. He is a monster and could be a good tackle for us.
  • As gaudy as his numbers were, we did not have Miles in that starting spot for the entire year.
  • The last few games of the season showed us what a healthy Felix Jones can do. He will start, mark it down.
  • Spencer came on and played like an All Pro from November forward this season. We should get a full year of that next season.
  • Jenkins broke out this year and could be even better next season.
  • Doug Free played lights out when he was put in a starting role and has the footwork to be a left tackle in this league.
  • Ogletree is going to be a player in this league. He will get more snaps next year.
  • We will have a first round pick this year and who says we can't pick some good players in the upcoming draft?

I've been on this board for all of about 15-20 minutes and some of you people are completely clueless. COMPLETELY! We got beat for one simple reason yesterday. Their d-line kicked our *** up and down the field. The reason for that I couldn't give, but if you think Minnesota is that much more talented then us you're crazy. When you get instant pressure it makes it tough to call plays and execute anything. Some of you people are such huge band wagoners it's hilarious to see what you post.
