Yes, Unitas was drafted in the 13th or 16th round. That would be undrafted in modern times.

I'm pretty sure Vinatieri was a draft pick

Any team that drafted Vinatieri would have been skewered. He got benched as the kicker when he was a senior and was replaced by a lineman who didn't even kick soccer-style. Vinatieri couldn't even get an NFL tryout coming out of college.
