I just watched it. It is almost exactly like the one in the Denver game when he was rookie. He has to come back to meet the ball. It's taught in basketball in grade school. Unacceptable that he hasn't learned that skill yet. Maybe he's just not going to be very good. Ever.

I like his size but, I think that's it.
Cut him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of energy spent for a guy that is going to have little impact on the season. Since Dak liked throwing to Swaim in camp, I am going to assume Witten, Elliott and Beasley become his security blanket at least at first.

That's why it's hard to put it on Showers. He comes back to it, its a catch. Witten is aggressive, he'd go get that ball. Bennett was like Escobar, he's wait for it, not go to it.

We were never gonna take honey badger. And it was basically a board consensus that we didn't need to look at him because he had just gotten suspended from school for drugs multiple times. Let's not do revisionist history now.
I wanted us to draft him.

Just like Dak has "it" at QB... HB has "it" at DB.

You definitely were far and away in the minority. It was consensus up here that badger was going to bust and drugs would get him out of the league. His talent was never a question

Wasn't this pick when jerry was in love with Pats use of TEs trying to emulate the latest trend at that time?

Le'Veon is also suspended for the first 4 games this year.
Three games. He somehow went in to talk and they said it was just a missed test take a game off your suspension and this doesn't escalate it at all. So I'm guessing he misses another 4 games next year for weed.

I said the same thing when I first saw him drift.

Never said it was his fault. Just stating like you did, he's not a fit here. He would be great in a pass heavy offense.

I didn't mean to say that's what you're insinuating, it's just really on the team because it was such a waste of a premium pick. Even if they stuck to the 12 personal offense that Garrett was going to run, Escobar still wasn't worth the 2nd round pick. A TE taken
that high should atleast be able to run routes smooth and fast. Hands aside, nothing stood out for Escobar
