Escobar?

Really? How many teams has Marty gone through since leaving here? Surely he'd be able to stick around if he was better than a hall of famer.
Sorry I left out 'blocking' in my post.

Marty B is a better run blocker. PFF has had Witten as a bottom 10 TE in blocking efficiency the last few years.

Remember when the war room was split between Eifert and trading back for Frederick? I think Eifert is a stud and would have been a solid pick. But could you imagine if we had spent a 1st round pick on a TE and still only used one? As much as it sucks throwing 2nd rounders away, it could be worse. But at least Eifert would be a long term solution and likely pushing WItten to the bench soon, if not already.

I, personally, still think Escobar has potential. Same as I thought Bennett had potential. Witten simply isn't getting out of the way for anyone and the staff isn't allowing anyone to cut into his playing time.

He does but, not on our team and our offensive scheme. We want TE like Witten who catch, block and can get open. Sadly Escobar
can only catch because he is the slowest of our TE's and can't separate well. As just a pass catching TE he might be able to function
on a majority west coast passing team.

Can we trade him to Atlanta for Freeney? Or how bout to Tennessee for Orakpo.

Escobar has not developed anywhere close to expected. Beasley has been way better than expected.

Why you babies gotta non-stop obsess over every little thing that does not go well?
