Apparently that is their big gripe? I just saw howard eskin on espn saying that the eagles were insulted that romo was still in the game throwing the ball up 24-0. He said that will get the team going and the eagles will win next week.

First off, I could really care less what that guy says, those morons in philly wouldnt give Dallas credit if we beat them 100 straight times, it would always be how they will get the next one..

anyway, jason garrett was on the post game show yesterday and said the reason romo stayed in and kept throwing was because, as garrett said they respect mcnabb and reid so much and that they didnt want them getting anything going, because they have pulled games out of a hat so many times.

That makes sense to me and I didnt see it as running it up or whatever, we were basically just milking the clock, I viewed like us trying to just run the clock out without our defense having to come out and play again.

But If this is what philly needs to get going and that is what they are banking on then we might be in their heads pretty good after playing so physically against them two times.

Its going to be a fun week, I am sure mcnabb will be his prime egomaniac self and belittle us with backhanded comments and that is a great thing. I am sure by friday everyone will have them beating us and that is another great thing.

Its going to fun saturday.

According to this *** clown just "Mark it down , the Eagles are the better team and will win next week". Romo and the Boys tried to embarrass the Eagles by throwing in the 4th qtr. And by even having Romo in the game. While I thought leaving him was kinda stupid, wasnt McNabb trying to score at the end??? Why was he in???

I know by living in the area (Philly) Eskin feeds off of being a "shock jock" type of radio guy. 2 months ago burying the Eagles, now lauding them as being great. Just funny hearing some peoples take on the game yesterday and next week... McNabb and the 'better skill position players" are the difference in his opinion on who wins next week??? Hey whoever brings the A game wins this, in my mind. But dont get me started on "skill players" and who is better.

mcnabb was still in.

If Romo was pulled, they can spin it and say they didn't respect us and took Romo out at the 3rd Quarter.... That is a much more dangerous rally cry.

and Fat Boy Reid was kicking field goals last year up 41-3. Hey, its the NFC East, man up and stop Romo from passing.

I hope we kick their *** again Saturday.

umm, how far up were the Vikings before they pulled Favre?

as an aside: The other teams and fans of the teams in the NFC East all strike me as whiney little *****es. For the most part we seem to not be that way, we console and congratulate or rivals in times of need or deserving ones.

Is it that I Can't see it, or is it that we really are that much better than the rest of them?

I expect Howard Eskin to say that at this point.

He and Stephen A. Smith are going to downplay the embarrassing loss all week but the fact of the matter is the Eagles lost a bye and the 2nd Seed which is huge.

However, you can now throw out all the wins and losses because it is the start of a new Season and anything can happen.

Also, if they don't shore up their Linebacking play and Quarterback play, they have no chance to beat the Cowboys.

I thought it was hilarious hearing him rant.

I guess it's Reputation vs. Reality.

Reputation says Philly should win.

Reality says we've proven we're better when we go up against them, and to this point, it's not even debatable.

Well Theebs, I've been listening to sports talk radio out of the Philly market all day, so far nobody has said that. They are more in disbelief over yesterdays game more then anything. Howard Eskin is a hugh JO. He's A.Reid's personal lap dog on 610 WIP.

Back when Jimmy Johnson was coach of the Cowboys, he was the biggest Cowboys/Jimmy Johnson fan in the world. He once tryied a FG at the Vet in all Cowboys stuff on. Jackets, hat ect.. He's a tool.

Football games aren't won because of "skill position players." Games are won in the trenches, and right now, our defensive and offensive lines are playing better than Philly's right now. Eskin is a *******.

I hated that Romo was still in and throwing the ball. No reason, the game was over. Eagles needed 4 scores in 6 minutes...not going to happen. You have to play these guys again next week why risk getting injured and Romo did get injured. Hated it.

That said, Eagles had the second seed in front of them as motivation, if that didn’t work, nothing will. Cowboys kill this team again next week.

It drives me crazy hearing some people say the eagles didn't bring their all to this game because they didn't want to show the cowboys anything. Bottom line is, if the eagles win that game, they don't see the cowboys in the playoffs unless its in the nfc championship game. Don't think they would have held much back with that bye on the line.

We were just the better team. They did miss some chances early, but we tightened up the defense as the game went on. We seemed to get no pressure on mcnabb early, but eventually we were all over him.

Garrett's rationale was correct. The Eagles can score points in bunches and score extremely fast.

Well hopefully we'll win again Saturday and then he can have several months to tell the world how the Eagles were really the better team while they're sitting on their couches watching the rest of the playoffs on TV.

Luckily he's not a Giants fan, who had to watch as the Vikings were going for it on 4th down when they were already ahead 34-0 late in the second half. Eskin would have jumped off the roof of the nearest skyscraper.

His argument is completely ********. The Eagles may win, but it will have nothing to do with what Romo and the Cowboys offense did in the 4th quarter yesterday.

If that's a problem then why was McNabb still in there, throwing, down 24-0 in a game they clearly weren't going to win?

What a stupid gripe.

Yep, I know he is the ultimate tool. I dont have any respect for any of the philly media members. None.

But I do know eskin works with the radio crew and does the andy reid show on mondays. So he is there with the team and must have some good info direct from the guys.

so that tells me that at least a few of the players perceived it to be that the cowboys were running it up. Even though when they do the same thing and throw the ball with big leads its no big deal...

and if this is true, then we might just have them, really have them. Because if they put all their eggs in the we were insulted basket and we come out and go down the field and score on them early, that is the type of thing that totally drains a player and a team.

46-6?

Did you hear anyone from Cowboy's land crying then? Took it in the chin, did what was needed to improve ....week 9 and yesterday is the product of that.

I took like not only scoring yesterday, but finding something that works, something to hang their hat on against us for next week. Because they dont have that right now, and you would hate to have had them go and put 14 on the board in the last 5 minutes of the game and gain momentum.

The fact that the eagles would even say this speaks volumes, mcnabbs comments after the game yesterday speak volumes.
